As a diehard fan of Pearl jam and a surfer for the past 46 years I'm sitting here watching my Fav singer and Fav surfer 🤙. I woke up this morning feeling a real intense feeling of gratitude for life. See today is my last day to work the same job for 32 years and it's sad, exciting and emotional all at once. My wife is packing my last lunch abd I'm watching her with a warmness flowing thru my body ☺️. She's given me 5 amazing daughters and 31 years of her life ♥️. Today marks the end of a chapter in our lives and a new chapter begins. I totally feel alive at the young age of 61 and grateful. I'm gonna get on my 59 knucklehead and for the last time navigate the 101 Ventura to Santa Barbara with pearl jam blasting thru ear pieces my bike vibrating below me as a weave they traffic 😁 not a half bad life. Thank you Eddie for being my co pilot for 32 years on my 29 mile commute. One thing that will never change is my endless love for Eddie & pearl jam and Laird for inspiring me to surf big🤙. Babe thank you for 31amazing crazy adventurous thing called marriage and our 5 girls, you are my rock! Here's to the next 31 years babe😁♥️

Eddie Vedder, the only man capable of taking so much in, and giving back more. His multi-talented gifts shared, whether singing with his iconic voice, or surfing a wave, he brings you along for the ride. My first concert at 15, was epic! The Beach Boy's, a Band I lived for, the epic Surfer songs Music from the Vans, loud and clear. The Surfers, Hot Sun, aroma of saltwater drying and curling my long hair. For now I hear Eddie with his gift, singing above the waves as I stand at the Ocean door. Thank You for taking me along for the ride!! I'm so grateful 💙💙

There comes a time when nothing else matters but the paddle out and the perfect wave. Seaweed and wax in your hair, relaxing and floating, sitting on your board, and waiting for that moment in "the present tense". I appreciate learning about the unique and precious friendship between surfer King Legend Laird Hamilton and musician/ songwriter icon Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam.Long live these Renaissance men and bless their families.Mahalo.

It never happened, I was at the gig where he supposedly made those remarks, he didn't. Simple. I re-watched the clip a few times on you tube just to be sure and there is nothing anti-semitic about it. But, thanks for your input anyway :-)

I feel like Liard is sort of a show off, and Eddie can't really relate to him on that level.
@brendantaylor35704 жыл бұрын
I thought that years ago when I saw this, but realized I was wrong. Laird operates on a different level. Their energy is different, but they kind of balance each other out. Laird I think is a dreamer, he needs to really experience things to their extreme in emotions. He chooses physical pursuits to do this. Ed seems like a steady wins the race type, methodical and grounded. Laird’s an enthusiast, Ed’s a realist.
@AbbyNormal7773 жыл бұрын
Laird is more show off ish than Eddie. I appreciate that he declined taking a limo to the concert.😎 I probably would have though.
@AbbyNormal7773 жыл бұрын
@@brendantaylor3570 I remember Eddie's earlier days when he would climb up to the rafters and all around the top of the speaker system. He was a much bigger risk taker in those days, and I think that he matured as he got older. Then he concentrated more on the performance and singing instead of trying to be Tarzan.
@brendantaylor35703 жыл бұрын
AbbyNormal777 Exactly. I think in that Ten era of Pearl Jam they waited their whole lives for that opportunity and didn’t think beyond that, so they gave their everything. Performed with their whole lives attached. By Vitalogy, you could see a huge shift in the bands performance and even how he sang. Preserving and longevity I think became his goal even by the mid to late 90s.
