@chesapeakedproductions3009 Жыл бұрын
I am glad you clarified the actual look of 382 at the time of Casey Jones' wreck, because the misconception of it having the look of it after the wreck is pretty common. I know it's down to lack of proper information that clarifies it had the more cupola style cab like the rest of the 371s, but still. Regardless, it's still a treat seeing the legacy of both the Illinois Central and Casey Jones live on in some capacity or another.

Any clues on where one might find plans for these beauties? They're exactly the sort of thing I've been wanting to model for Train Sim Classic. While I've stumbled across some excellent Baldwin resources, blueprints for Rogers engines remain hard to come by. Any help would be dearly appreciated.

@DmayExpress11 ай бұрын
Could you make a separate video of just ICRR 382 in its 1900 version before the 382's wreck on April 30th 1900, or even a collage of 382's changes from 1898 to 1935 similar to this one like you did in this video on Class 371 just so Casey Jones fans would know 382's accurate version on April 30th? That would be helpful and make more sense for Casey Jones and 382 fans, and it would also make sense to have the 382 instead of 371 in the beginning of this video. Also, is 2012's tender the exact same tender before the wreck on January 22nd 1912 1:17?
@thatredfokker11 ай бұрын
I probably could make a collage just as a community post with text labelling the years. The engine at the beginning is numbered 371, yes, but all of the 371s looked like that. This isn't just about 382 and 638, more just their classes as a whole, so numbering doesn't bother me unless it's for a number-specific variant like later 382, or 638.
@DmayExpress11 ай бұрын
@@thatredfokker Sure that could work too. I'm looking forward to see your community post of all different 382s from what it looked original on April 30th 1900 to 1935. Was also wondering if you could do a video of Casey Jones's three locomotives, ICRR 201 (Now preserved at Illinois Railway Museum kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHWwdp18nZKeldk), ICRR 638, and ICRR 382 (in April 1900 style live you pointed the difference in this video.) Also, wasn't sure if you saw my question in my first comment, is 2012's tender the exact same tender before the wreck on January 22nd 1912 1:17?

kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIbQmIWodrqGmKs if anybody wants to know the true 100% story of Casey Jones's life and wreck in 1900. This man knew and met his wife and shows every station stop and every location on Casey Jones's last one from Memphis to Vaughn, Mississippi. I loved the whole story as he told it and showed. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about Casey Jones's career and life. One of the best parts I loved about this was what fellow railroad men told him about Casey Jones and after his incident also, Casey Jones really loved his locomotive 638.
