Up in Alamance county (NC) we got a decent amount of ice too, it was estimated to be between 1-3 inches but I have no clue how much it really was

If you lived where i live we got soo much ice and i hasnt even melted yet and i live in north carolina too but my drive way is so slippery my car was outside of the gargae last night and i mean it was covered in ice and still hasent melted yet we wont be having school for the rest of the week here

We had a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Touring with Swivel and Go... We used the hell out of that warranty! I just got my license a few months ago so I never drove it but the transmission sucked! EGR went out, MyGig went out twice, and the list goes on and on.. We were on our way to Myrtle Beach and halfway there the wheel hub snapped and caused a crap ton of damage.. Tore up the wheel liner, gave the bumper a soccer mom dent, and pealed up the paint.. Full coverage insurance.. Damage was 5,000 dollars... Insurance didn't even look at the van to give an repair price they just said, get fixed whatever it needs.. So the repair shop painted the whole van!! We ended up trading on a 2013 Ford Flex..

Amen to that! We have sadly already gotten rid of it but it was great to have! We put 63,000 miles in a year so my parents traded it on a Fusion Titanium.. Love our Fusion but there is nothing like the Flex..

2 things 1. So they basically put a new engine in the commander? 2. My uncle bought an 08 Dakota brand new with the same 4.7 v8 and within 1-3 years it threw a rod but like y'all's it was under warranty

Yeap. Our water pump exploded causing the engine to overheat and the block cracked. So we basically have a new engine block, starter, water pump and all hoses/belts. With labor the total was $8,000+ yet we paid nothing due to the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty. We're extremely thankful that we didnt have to pay anything.

Wow, well at least it wasn't like what happened with a few of the new corvettes, new engines within a few hundred miles of ownership :/ but would U still consider getting a chrysler vehicle even after that?

Personally, no. But if mom found a car she liked I'm sure my Dad would probably cave in and buy it. Plus the steep Chrysler discounts are very tempting.

Well in y'all's defense, the 4.7 had mixed reviews throughout its life, more bad than good, but that's why they introduced the pentastar in its place

After the update in 2008 It was the perfect engine for us. The 3.7 V6 was horribly underpowered and the 5.7 Hemi was a gas hog. The 4.7 V8 was a good medium between power and fuel economy.

So they replaced the commanders engine becuase I was about to say it has less miles that my brothers 2010 dodge charger 3.5l v6 with the 5 speed auto and I. Has 60,523 miles on it we bought it for him with 53k on it.
