I am speechless! The town you flew over around 31 minutes is called Chamonix. Just to the right of it was Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, at 4,808m! I have climbed and ski'd all over that area and it was genuinely mindblowing to see all the familiar mountains and valleys. I could even spot a few of our camping spots, familiar shops and buildings in Chamonix, as well as the Aiguille du Midi lift station! The icing just amazes me in this sim. That used to be a big complaint of mine with the previous sims, and I am glad (and terrified) to see it represented so well.

On my Cirrus SR20, switching the altimeter units is indeed in the PFD submenu... there's a softkey labeled "ALT UNIT" which pops up another layer of softkeys, and you can select between IN and HPA. So your recollection is correct, and it does appear like they didn't implement it here.

Keep the widescreen coming please! No one else is really doing it and it fills my ultrawide monitor perfectly, absolutely love it.

That was absolutely brilliant. It reminds me of the terrain and conditions in my area of the globe. I can’t wait to check it out.

To adjust the altimeter setting on a G1000, use the CRS/BARO on the right side of the screen. The outer knob adjusts the altimeter, the smaller inside knob adjusts the course. Way more intuitive IRL…

Was on holidays once in a mountain village @ Rhone valley, near Brig/Visp. Beautiful. Today, quite expensive I guess. Cheapest hotels > 100 Eur/night. Will eagerly fly there when I have msfs.

The ammount of variables this weather system brings to the game, is outstanding. I mean. You REALLY need to plan your route, based on the weather forecast, just like the real thing. I can´t believe this is happening... i really cant wait to play this. As a simmer, and a MSFS user since 1998... this is a dream come true.

I was watching this video on my S9 and it looks great with the widescreen! Yes, there was still a thin top and bottom black bars but the video filled my entire length of the phone (on landscape) and that was a sight to see! I also switched to my 27" monitor and it was still amazing to be able to see more scenery and more instrument panels as if we were actually sat there. When in full screen, you see these massive top and bottom black bars but that allows you to focus. Sort of get an effect in the movie theatre where you sat at a middle row of the room but there is these black space all around the screen because of how large the room is. I also watched this not in full screen but with KZbin at 175% zoom and it just filled up my screen leaving my Chrome tabs visible and the YT header and it still looks great!

Used to watch your american trucking videos, recently started watching your videos again. And I absolutely love how you record 21:9. Keep up the hard work!

I know absolutely nothing about this area and I was able to easily follow your flight path from Courchevel on Google maps just off of the spectacular scenery. Wow.

Wow, that Chamonix you flew over with Mont Blanc on your right. I was there as a 17 year old, 12 years ago, and I recognized it! Had to go on Google Maps satellite view to verify. That's incredible, and it is truly an unbelievably beautiful place.

I hope they make other simulators in this world. Can you imagine Truck Simulator or Train Simulator but anywhere in the world and with these views?!

Hi Squirrel, I live end of Lsgs and know Wallis valley very well. It's so realistic, thank you for sharing. Must admit it's wonderfull. Really close to Lsgs there is the Matterhorn, probably the most known mountain in the world and the Swiss symbol. Keep publishing great videos, and maybe see you online for a flight.

Also, on the GFC700 autopilot, when it says "PIT" that does not mean that you're in control of pitch, it means that it is going to hold that pitch angle constant. For a climb to an altitude you probably want set your altitude bug and then enter VS mode on the AP, which will allow you to choose a vertical speed to maintain until reaching that altitude, at which point it will level off and switch to ALT mode to maintain that altitude. My plane also has an IAS mode which I can select instead of VS, to do a constant-airspeed climb (at Vy or Vcc), but I don't see that button on this sim.

Imagine if this was also a train sim and a truck sim, I don't think I'd ever need to play another game again! Also, loving the widescreen even though I'm watching this on my first gen iPad mini, lol!

I’m pretty sure to swap to HPA and inches is on the PFD soft key then BARO. If not then it’s in the Menu soft key to the right and you’ll mostly look for BARO to swap it.
