If it was due to ice it should be considered pilot's full responsibility. Flying into icy conditions demands visual check of both wings by both pilots every ten minutes. If ice is spotted they must engage the Wings warming system and request permission to descend in order to fly into warmer air. Seems to me that the plane banked to left and entered into a vicious uncontrollable spin. This means ice accumulation in the port wing causing more weight. These small turboprops are quite dangerous flying in adverse weather. Wings two short, lack of wing surface, designed to save fuel and enhance the bird range. Rentability as top priority as always. The smallest loss of balance at cruising speed is a guaranteed stall or spin.

what worries me the most is that, even though they might have encountered severe icing which caused the plane to stall, the pilots did not know how to recover from the spin. When you're on a spin, the first thing you gotta do is bring the power back to idle. Otherwise, you'll never gonna be able to bring the nose down and therefore you'll never regain rudder authority. There's footage where you can hear the engines at near max thrust

True the wing form of the ATR is sensitive to icing. However in this incident I suspend that atmospheric condition may have contributed in another way. In icing conditions, up and downdrafts are very likely. Given flight tracking shows a rapid rise in altitude just after the Voepass flight started a decent to land, I believe the flight got caught in an updraft. Quite sad that the ATR was decending at near flight speed in the flat spin without the wings contributing any lift when it got out of the updraft.

Yes that unfortunately was a condition called a flat spin. Quite a few things need to go wrong to get into that condition. Most aircraft can recover from a flat spin if they have enough altitude.

Looking at FlightRadar24, I see that this flight had many speed fluctuations, reaching a steady 65 knots in mid-flight, a stable 19000 feets, and peaking at 361 knots. On other flights, this same aircraft had similar performances in its cruise phase. On the other hand, other similar aircraft from the same company had more stable speeds, even on this same route.

Reuters report Aug 15, that CVR reveals co-pilot shouting confusion what was happenningand they needed more power authorities said it was hard to hear what was being said because engine sound was too loud. Ironic when they demanded more power. I believe the Hydraulic Auxiliary pump engaged the propeller brake so they were accidentally in Hotel mode.

The most accurate reason is a tail wind which made the autopilot reduces the speed thats you can clearly see the plane pattern and when the wind went off the sudden speed drop made it go down befor the pilots try to climb back with no thrust change which made it loss more valuable speed also this can be seen in flight radar this way combined with low altitude made it impossible to recover

There are no speed brakes in ATR. There are 2 spoilers panel tho, 1 each side, but those are the roll spoiler, deployed to aid aileron while rolling.

You missed loss of airspeed due to atmospheric conditions. Let's say the ATR hit a severe updraft, quite possible in (severe) icing condition, and do note the sudden increase in altitude after the ATR started the decent to land. Effect on aircraft, like hitting a wall, aircraft gains altitude, airspeed decreases, some loss of control. Now what happens when the ATR hits another wall on exiting the updraft. Likely impartation of rotation - entering a flat spin.

Depende. Pelo oq eu entendi o gelo pode mudar a postura da aeronave e virar a ponta dela para cima, então ela vai cair do céu girando como uma pipa sem o vento, pq o ar não está batendo nas asas como deveria para que ela possa voar. Porém pode ter acontecido falha nos motores também, explicaria pq o avião reduziu a velocidade antes de cair.

Also if you look at the crash of same plane in Nepal in 2023 and combine both together (icy conditions and wrong leveller switch for the propellers angle ) that might be the cause of this crash. They were probably preparing to configure the plane for landing soon in Sao Paolo and this might happen.

And since the engine was still running when it was crashing I doubt that there was a situation where the vital aircraft mechanism were not functioning. My perception here is that it must have had a failed power distribution or went into a computerized mode of some sort that the pilots tried to correct unsuccessfully. Hopefully the black box will reveal the issue because authorities said they didn't get any may day from the aircraft either meaning it happened so fast for them to have time to call.

Obrigatório verificar visualmente a possibilidade de gelo nas asas a cada dez minutos, olhando cada um deles através do cockpit. Ligar o anti descongelante e pedir permissão para descida de altitude para voar em ar mais quente. Quando a aeronave se inclinou já era tarde. Estes turbo-hélice são muito perigosos de pilotar em mau tempo. Asa delgada e com pouca superfície alar, para otimizar o consumo e aumentar o alcance tornando a operacionalidade mais rentável. Perdi a conta à quantidade de aviões deste tipo que já entraram em perda de sustentação catastrófica ao voar em condições de tempo adversas. Nos EUA então é melhor nem falar. Já a equipa do Chapecoense perdeu a vida num aparelho semelhante, por terem esticado a autonomia ao limite, se bem que o avião fosse um jato, e não um turbo hélice como neste caso.

It can be a map name secure down in ghost recon future soldier. I swear to allah those people killed my every ambition to become a fighter but i ll continue to fight to receive all my right when I received I ll become free as she left me in a cage forcefully from 2017 to untill now.
