I had to pause the video. There are not enough words to thank you for the BEAUTIFUL videography in capturing all the BEAUTIFUL VIBRANT colors of the leaves in Michigan & Wisconsin! This desert rat that has only TAN to look at, can't stop smiling at all the beautiful colors & trees you all have shown! it's a good thing I don't live there, I'd never get anything done or go anywhere. I would just sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and never stop looking at all those beautiful colors!! Thank you again for sharing and especially brightening my day!

Although this was 6 months ago and I’m catching up on your adventures… my heart just about jumped out when you guys noticed Dan wasn’t behind you anymore … as a parent myself I related to Carol and Pete’s feelings of worry for Dan. Listening to Pete’s words moved me emotionally, such is the depth of a parent’s love for their children🥰 and their safety. Thing’s can and do rapidly change ... it’s a miscalculation away. Very grateful to see Dan came out if that harrowing experience unharmed. … Lando’s eyes said so much too! Heartwarming to see you all together safe and sound for sure! Guardian angels indeed 🙏

I traveled for years all over the US for work. I remember when working in far north ND an older local gent, when we were discussing the constant blowing wind that the reason is that there is only 2 wind blocks across ND and that both are fences and one is down!

As a father of a daughter of 35 and a son of 30, plus a very dear Old English Bulldog "Lady", what can you say? (Laugh, it's my wife's dog) We pray every day that nothing happens to our children and are always there for them. I understand and keep my fingers crossed for you. Greetings from Frankfurt. # For the Mercedes, get Micky Thompson tires, also for the Jeeps, with outside tread. 99% of the time you won't need them, but when it really counts, they can be very useful. So glad Dan and Lando are safe. You guys built up a tank. It’s always the people that don’t respect the conditions and/or overestimate their skills at reacting correctly, sometimes there is just nothing you can do. I bet since the other driver thought since his SUV was AWD he was ok on his all seasons. I have driven in ice with studded tires and they make a HUGE difference. My in-laws’ FWD Impala was what had the studded tires. They chose to drive my 4x4 2-dr Tahoe w/all seasons back to Yakima, WA from Portland, OR instead of their Impala because of having to go through the Columbia River Gorge. I guess they wanted the larger size of my Tahoe, so my spouse and I drove up their car 1 or 2 weeks later. A recommendation to people in snowy locals, please get tires that at least have the 3 peak snowflake rating at the minimum and leave earlier so you can reduce your speed.

I think Dan deserves a huge pat on the back for being aware of what was and going to happen. Signs of a competent driver! In the north (Canada) we live, work and play in these conditions and I am always concerned about the other drivers. Stay aware. Great driving Dan. Just a minor battle scar on the Jeep.

Even though I am no longer living there, North Dakota is still my home and I do have family there in the NE part of the state. The timing of winter will, many times, just completely mess with every best laid plan. Sorry you had a slippery experience in my home... Happy the accident was not worse. glad Dan and Lando are okay . idk what your plans are or what build y'all are doing , but i would make that RV a 4x4 and redesign the inside and have it as a base ( park somewhere, take the jeep-jeeps out for a few days do whatever y'all are doing then go back to it ) maybe after your 2-4 year world travel plans . it's not your driving you worry about, it's other people's driving you should worry about
