Nice looking card but why does the card have screw holes in the back for a motherboard mounting brace and then give a typical GPU stand.

What is the "X" design on the backplate? Is that for attaching a cooler to it? Or just a design choice?

Its the backplate for the cooler thats allready one the GPU die.

Few days back my 7800xt nitro stopped showing RGB lights but the card was still working perfect, purchased in oct 2023. At first, I was thinking not to go for the RMA as they will give used or refurbished unit. But the sapphire told me they will 1st try to troubleshoot and if possible, will give new seal pack card so took a chance let's see.🙌

sorry this is such a late comment but do you know how much space is between the bottom of the gpu to the fan? i was thinking about possibly putting in a temp monitor in that area of my build

I’m not sure but for reference, I do have the ROG STRIX anti GPU sag so you can look at how long it is when it’s at its lowest and highest. I believe I’m using 1/3 extra height

Are the infinity fans able to turn off the center fan lights and keep the trim ones on like the TL and SL fan style? Thank you.

Yes you can turn off the center fan lights or have a completely different color / pattern 🔥

If you have a white build, the white ROG STRIX would blend in better (see my H9 elite update video). The Suprim X will definitely pop more. I don’t think you can go wrong with either

The color of this GPU would stand out in either white or black, so I personally think it looks good

Would you say that this is a 4K gaming card? How is it holding up against AAA titles on 4K? Are you able to hold 100fps on avg (at least with DLSS on)?

Compared to the 4090, it would be about a 30fps difference. On games like MW3, playing Ultra instead of Extreme and DLSS still gave a solid 120 (if memory serves me right lol)

Honestly I'd say so, yeah. Just don't go nuts with the raytracing. Plus, if you add on Lossless Scaling (which is seven bucks on Steam) it literally doubles your FPS, regardless of the resolution. It's just a framegen software, works on any GPU. Plus, it only gets better with each update. TL;DR - Yeah, it's a 4K card. Lossless Scaling can make it even better, too.
