Presti deserves a lot more recognition. She was one of the few to get complimented by Andre Segovia upon meeting for a lesson, and possibly the only one he’s told something along the lines of “you’re already perfect, there’s nothing for me to show you”. I found her only because I was an edgy teenage guitar student digging a classical rabbit hole through KZbin.

Ida Presti talentuosa e intelligente, come sempre. Brava Cinzia Milani che restituisce brillantantemente questi studi! Grazie!

Just discovered her tonight. I've been listening to her ever since, and plan to for at least a few more days. Francisco Tarrega is another one I've recently discovered. It's crazy to me that music like this has been around so long, yet lately, it's seemingly getting dumbed down for the masses, and they love it. It bothers me that I'm just now discovering so much beautiful music, that has been around since before I was born. This is the kind of stuff that should be played on the radio, on repeat.

Sugiero que estos útiles y bellos estudios deberían formar parte del repertorio obligado para todos los guitarristas, especialmente aquellos que están aún desarrollando sus cualidades. Siempre genial Ida Presti. !! Gracias por compartir BC !!

Many thanks for both the excellent performance and the hitherto-unknown-to-me score by Ida Presti. I'm still lamenting her premature death.

honestly the best works I've heard from a woman, prefer it to Clara or Fanny, maybe not as technical or complicated but has the soul and power of that of a serious composer, nicer than a lot of the big guitar composers
