Fantastic! Litter Control example is most excellent. If only half of us took the effort that you two do to pick up litter the problem would be solved. Many hands make light work. Teenagers in their ignorance will always be with us, and so will the adult trolls. With a little education and examples like yours, the good people can make up for them by far.

Picking up litter is contagious.... we were picking up litter along a river bed in Oregon after a big holiday weekend and it was so encouraging to see people pitching in just because they saw us cleaning up. I am in the process of watching ALL your videos (Starting from from your first youtube video). In doing this I noticed some photos of you Holding some Darn NICE fish. I did not know you were a fisherman. Fishing of coarse is going to be one of my passions I will be focusing on in VanLife! So I would just like to say NICE LOOKING FISH MAN! You are one of my favorite VanLifers I follow. I follow you mostly because you go to some incredible locations and you help us find the locations. The locations you often go to are off the beaten path (like your northern California boondocking areas). I'm sure I will never see another vanlifer visit many of the locations you show us! This is were you are better than all the rest out there! You two have mad skills at finding cool spots. Also your drone skills are amazing! and the photography is outstanding too! I watch for your videos every Saturday morning. Because what you do I felt the need to glean every bit of information I can from ALL your videos. I have been researching camping and activities location (Fishing Hiking, Rockhounding, mountains, wild life viewing.....). So I would just like to say THANK YOU! You are helping many people out there!!!!!! Roger The ExBassGuide

Thank you for all the compliments! We just stayed the night on a river in Idaho that has Yellowstone cutthroat trout in it. The water looked perfect for fishing. Nice deep holes with enough current to move the food right to the fish. It was pure torture! I wanted to fish badly. Unfortunately with us moving around from state to state so often and being on a very limited budget we can't afford to buy a license for every state I want 😂 You are going to have a blast fishing your way around while doing vanlife. Off the beaten path is definitely the way to do it. We are honored to have you as a subscriber! I hope we meet along the way somewhere, I would love to share some fish stories. 😀

Thanks for the view!! We love the cooler temps not that we have our Webasto heater. We are really limited when winter finally hits and dumps snow as our van is 2 Wheel drive and I have to admit camping in the winter with a dog is a lot harder when it comes to mud and snow everywhere inside the van. We will eventually end up in Arizona as it will be to hard to find boondocking when the winter snow falls. What part of Northern California are you from? We grew up in Alturas and lived in Redding for 16 years.

@@oneadVANtureatatime I’ve been n Los Gatos, CA for 40 years. Lived n same home for 38 but had to sell to care 4 my late husband who fell 2 Alzheimer’s. My neighbor, accross the street from Phil & I all those years, has graciously provided her 2 acre land fit me to use as a home base. I have electrical hook up to my shore power but I like to remain as independent as possible so I only use 4 my Dometic when I’m parked. Also, want to know my limitations with my 400 watt solar set up. Due to some health issues & C19 I’m only taking small/short trips. I watch your videos 4 inspiration and info. on great places to go. I love that you share. Many you tubers are more secretive about their “finds”. I kinda get it but I’m with the share and share alike crowd. I also love How good you are to your dog. You treat him like I treat my cat Toby. Who, by the way, really doesn’t like the Van situation. Luckily the owner of the estate I’m on is an animal lover. This is now his home but I keep trying. I think it’s hard 4 a cat to go from roaming 2 + acres (the home I sold was also 2 acres)to a tin can. But he’s a wonderful cat who Phil picked out from a rescue agency, and he’ll always b my cat; even if he chooses not to travel with me. Finally, your photography is amazing. I love photography but I am just not good. I’ll keep trying. Recently purchased a P1000 by Nikon. You can be a bad photographer like me and take amazing pics with this camera. I’m an avid birder and a wild animal lover so looking forward 2 more of that. Take care and thanks again 4 such fabulous content.

Love your videos guys! I would have never known about Idaho as a destination. Beautiful! Did you stay there the full 14 days? How many times did you go to the hot springs during your stay? Weather permitting, do you do an outside activity every day? How cold did it get at night? Is your heater working well? Can you bring biodegradable shampoo and use the hot springs as a shower? Lol. Lots of questions lol. I look forward to your videos each week. 😍

Idaho is AMAZING!! We only stayed at this spot a couple of days but usually we stay a week to 10 days. We visited this hotspring twice. Yes we do an outside activity everyday unless the weather is really nasty. Roodle helps keep us active for sure. The nighttime temperatures have been dropping down into the teens at night and barely breaking the freezing mark of 32 degrees in the day time.........the heater is working fantastic! No you cannot use any biodegradable shampoo or soaps in the hotsprings. Thank you for watching!!

Thanks for subbing! This is our second drone....Our first drone was the Mavic Air, Dave had over 130 flight hours on that one!! It did a great job but we crashed it...lol We now have the Mavic Air 2 and love it just as much as the first one. The Mavic Air 2 has more flight time with is great for us. I would not recommend the Mavic Mini...our friend had one that had some issues....it would crash every time you hit the return home function and it was so small that sometimes the wind carried it away. All super easy to fly!

On another channel, I criticized the videographer for carving into a tree with a knife. He called me a "troll". Some people just don't get it, including the people who leave trash. Carrie, you looked really happy in this video. Big smile.

Thank you, Jim! Yeah, I would not be impressed with someone carving into a live tree either! The fact that he put it on camera really shows how he has no respect for nature. Carrie says that Kirkham hot spring is her favorite so far! I only disagree because the waterfall was so hot I could not hang! 😂

Not necessarily. Soaking in the hot springs will keep them warm. A man once told me he sat in a sauna in Nova Scotia one winter night, then wrapped a towel around himself and walked outside back to the barracks. The temperature was 60 below zero, and he couldn't even feel it. When he arrived, he experienced the greatest glow.

Hi Cory. Oregon did close their hot springs down for a time but Idaho has not from what we have researched. The pit toilets have the standard sign posted on the doors and are open to the public as well. This said we are choosing to go early in the morning when there are the fewest people around for our own safety and others as well.

Love that! Yes, we pick up trash at every boondocking site. Our future goals is to create a non-profit organization that will allow van/nomad get togethers where we can clean areas that are in desperate need of some help. Unfortunately the most trash we see in human waste and toilet paper (usually) and this is why we are huge advocates for having some sort of toilets in rigs....composting, cassette.... whatever it takes to get the job done.
