I've driven through and even stayed in Twin Falls several times on my way from Pagosa Springs to Seattle and back again. Shoshone Falls is incredible! Nothing but good things to say about the people and the places in Idaho. Love driving along the Snake River...so many things. Love the state! Fantastic video! Thank you!!

Yes, Twin Falls and its associated area are the best that Idaho has to offer. If you're an outsider, please go direct to Twin. No need to go/explore anywhere else.

I grew up in Southeast Idaho!! I used to run in cross-country meets at the golf course under the bridge! 🤩 I could tell you about so many other gems to see and do in Idaho! We have white water rafting, hot springs, epic hiking, volcanic landscapes, waterfalls... It's an outdoor dreamland, in my opinion! 😁 40% of Idaho is national forest, so yes, we definitely have a lot more to offer than just potato fields. Just be aware that there isn't a lot infrastructure for tourism, since its not yet well known for its awesomeness. It's gotten even worse since COVID started, so please please please be patient, be nice, and follow the rules of the parks and nature areas! Great video, great places! Thanks for singing the praises of my home state!! ❤️

What time of year is the best to visit there?
@fishstick7104
@fishstick7104 8 ай бұрын
@debbiesykes1389 The best time to visit is probably late May through June. Most of the summer activities should be starting, pools will be opening, reservoirs will hopefully have water (We frequently have droughts in Southeast Idaho, so some reservoirs will be empty by mid summer if the farmers need the water) June gives you the best odds for mild to warm temperatures, but we have had sudden random snow storms that late in the year, too, so always check the weather. July and August can be great for water activities, but temperatures can and do get up 100°F. Fall colors don't last long, so that's not really a big thing there. But depending on the weather, September can be mild and beautiful and less busy with all the summer tourists gone. The winter is great for hot springs, and usually skiing is pretty good from January- March.

I as you did enjoy Twin Falls, My father at the time owned the John Deere dealership. i spent most of the time i was there to experience the most of the valley and beyond. Red Fish Lake, is and has been one of my favorite places on this Earth. Now i went on a raft trip down the Salmon river, and even though that was incredible , the lake has drawn me back several times.

And all of this beauty is only an hour SW of me. Love spring, summer, and fall here, but winter...not so much this winter. It hit -31 degrees one night, and we have had several more nights with subzero temps. I even love snow skiing, snowshoeing, and hitting the different hot springs, but this was TOO cold 🥶
