Marcus, Absolutely great Hyperlapse. Ive been flying for a long time now but Hyperlapse is something I have not played around with. Most of my flights are in rural areas so unless a Deer or a Cow moves there would not be a lot of action. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Hey Marcus, on the point you brought up about battery power needed to complete a waypoint (and several other Hyperlapse types) -if you get over-zealous and try for too many WP's or too much distance or time, the drone will offer a popup at some point and attempt to warn you off. I think the wording is along the lines of "There may not be enough battery energy to complete this mission. Are you sure you wish to proceed? That's a bit redundant, but a good reminder when we push it a bit far. Of course there is always "run it in reverse" or "land and start with a fresh battery - but these fly so long with plus batteries, that's no longer required. GREAT FLIGHT!!

DJI Mini 4 Pro Hyperapse Waypoint Flight? See - I can read, lol! Good to see you out showing folks how to use the features they were so excited about when buying their drone, but then got frustrated when they couldn't make it all work. Well, fear not drone-noobs (and Nooberettes!). Welcome to the camp, I guess you all know why we're here. My name is Johnny, and I became aware this year. If you want to hyperlapse, you'vr got to set wayoints. Here comes Uncle Marcus to guide you to, your very own machine!

Hi Marcus. Another out standing flight of the Mini 4 Pro. Would love to get one some day. Say, next time your out at the Canyon with the Air 3. I heard of that the max descent speed is slower going down in a negative altitude below the home point than it is coming down from a positive altitude from above the home point. Not sure if it's just the Air 3 or all DJI drones for that matter. Just a something new to try thing.
@IdahoQuadcopter11 ай бұрын
I've noticed a few anomolies while in negative altitude. In some situations it will not decend at all unless you stop forward movement.

Thanks for the great tutorial. I love your channel and am a subscriber, but I'll be honest - I skip a lot of your videos because I don't usually have time for a 30 minute plus video. I'm wondering if there are others like me who might watch more if they were shorter like this one. BTW, we're kind of neighbors. I'm over here in Eastern Washington in the 509. Thanks again!

There is not automated Dolly Zoom on the Mini 4 Pro. It can be done manually, but it takes a steady hand. 🙂
@patrickwilliams646411 ай бұрын
@@IdahoQuadcopterthere is a way to do that by setting the different zoom from one waypoint to the next as the drone is going backwards.

Hyperlapse is one of my favorite features. You could have saved those waypoints to a file and flown that same path at different times or on different days. One thing I noticed is that you set the video mode at 30 FPS, but the drone took the hyperlapse at 25 FPS! A 20 second video at 25 FPS means it has to take 20 X 25 = 500 photos. With a 2 second time between photos, that is 1000 seconds, or 16 minutes and 40 seconds. If it was recording at 30 FPS, it would have had to take 600 pictures and it would have taken 20 minutes to complete. Did the Mini 4 automatically make the change? My Air 2S has a setting in the pop up hyperlapse menu to set the frame rate. I've never done a waypoint mission, so I'm not sure what shows up on my bird. Your videos are always the best!
@IdahoQuadcopter11 ай бұрын
Thank you Fred. Yes, the HyperLapse file shows 25 fps, and the over all video was rendered to 29.97 fps.
