Regarding the last fight: it's really weird that the Firefly couldn't penetrate, at this range even the frontal armor of a KT should be swiss cheese (especially if they use APDS, but I'm not sure if it's available in PS)

Yea, the damage model can still be a bit weird sometimes- the Cromwell for example can take several 8.8 hits without any apparent damage... I think the Firefly here used the wrong type of ammo, not sure...

The effective thickness of the Tiger II's frontal armor is around 225mm and the fireflies max pen is 190mm from its APCBC shell. Everything now is about shell type and placement. The system seems pretty complicated but consistent and most engagments are done within 1-4 shots by skilled gunners. The Cromwell has internal bulkheads that contain the shrapnel from the German APHE type shell, reducing their effectiveness. Well placed APCR works better because it goes through the bulkheads

Der Fehlschuss bei 7:50 wäre in echt fatal gewesen. Auf die Entfernung hätte die 17 Pfünder des Fireflys die Frontpanzerung des Tiger II durchdrungen. Deswegen kann kein Spiel die Realität nachstellen.

7:14 kann sein das die APHE Munition nicht gezündet ist weil die Panzerung zu schwach war es braucht ein bestimme mm an Panzerung um zu zünden ist eh besser bei so leichte panzern HEAT oder wenn man ein HEAT hat HE gegen schießen kannst dir so vorstellen das die Munition einfach durch denn Panzer geht bissen was an schaden macht wenn man irgendwas getroffen hat und wieder raus wenn man grade nur leer raum getroffen hat dann macht es auch nicht viel schaden ich hoffe Squad macht irgendwann auch so ein schaden Model rein ich finde es extrem geil zwar werden die T72 sehr schnell tot wegen Autoloader carossel aber dafür muss man tief zielen um das zu treffen aber gleiche zählt auch für denn Abrams schießt du in denn hinter Turm mit ein APFSDS wird er denn wand was Munition und kampfraum unterteilt durchschlagen und denn Panzer auch zerstören oder schieß gegen Turm Ring Apfsds wird da durch gehen und denn Turm festkeilen und Leo2 ja ehh extrem große munitions lager rechte seite von der frontal plate

The fact that the tanks deal few to no damage to one another is a real problem in PS, but it turns out to be realistic... In the game you only have APCR for anti tank rounds which are basically some go through steel sticks (I know it's tungstene but wtv) with no explosive in it so they will only damage what it goes through... They really should add AP-HE in the game

The best thing would be to bring tank logic and mechanics from Warthunder. Usually in real life 1 shot was enough to kill or injure whole crew. So many shots from Tiger II, usually 1 hit was completely enough...

Lol, war thunder ain't that accurate buddy, they have tons of issues with their armour and penetration system. Also some of the vehicles are nerfed for gameplay reasons so it's not a good comparison anyways.

No, that is where War Thunder is wrong. On average, it took 5+ shots to kill a tank in real life according to combat records. (German side's reports at least) Yes, crews often bailed out after one penetration, but it was pretty rare to lose all crews from just one APHE's internal explosion. (Unless it landed on ammo or something like that, of course) The reason why APHE is so strong in War Thunder is because shells explode in spherical shape in War Thunder, not in conical shape like it did irl. As far as I know, it's the same in this game, spherical, but way weaker. Maybe too weak for some guns.
