Great idea! The first catchment the debris goes into is for heavier debris/material. To me this acts like a P trap in liquid plumbing, but this is for air. Should give great longevity to the main shop vacuum cleaner. Thank you for sharing.

The hole in the central pipe looks like it would suck dust into the vacuum as it is falling down from your inlet pipe maybe add a 90 degree elbow pointed down so it's less likely to suck in. I love the switch !! 👍👌

I think it is superb. I have been using similar system for my vacuum when I work on my wood lathe. Yours is a definite improvement though.

Very interesting video. The result seems to be very efficient but overly complicated to build for a novice weekend woodworker like myself. Still, I enjoyed watching, learned a few tips, decided to spend a few jours in m'y workshop and suscribed to your channel.

If you wrote a proper description saying what you were making you'd probably get more views. All the people actually searching for cyclone or dust extractors wont be shown this video

Well. That's not my definition of simple. Many hundreds of pounds of tools and a (very) skilled workman working for about £10 / hr to make the equivalent of a second wet / dry vac. Beautifully made and designed, lovely demonstration of your skills, but a practical use of a day's worth of my time - sorry - I'll nip to screwfix for another cheap vac.

This could also be a Portable AC. Fill the blue container with block ice and put a fan on top then put the vac. hoses where ever you need them. Zoned AC. 🙂

9. I like the idea of a splitter (aka multi hose connector), but how much harder is it to unplug one hose and plug in another hose vs moving the lever? 💖🌞🌵😷

Nice project. However, the chips in the bin are too big for what you've just cut. They would have got stuck in your gate valve.

I was with you right up until you showed debris in the blue barrel that could NOT have possibly come from either saw! Faking any part of this throws the whole project into doubt! SMDH
