Thank you ! Currently at -8 and boiler lost pressure refilled to 1.5 bar and it went to ignition lockout tried this method and worked a treat on second attempt, when it gets to diverter valve.... i didnt catch that and was too slow to follow the steps tried second time and waited the 5 mins turned thermostat on and ignition ! the boiler fired up we also poured hot water over the condensate pipe. Thanks again as was waiting 9 days for engineer ! Thats what you get with home care a 9 day wait from british gas £20 a month. This video just saved my pipes.🙌🙌🙌

There was several different models of this one,think the only one with the display shown was the logic plus which had the display and a five year warranty if memory has not failed me.

Hi Alan, Have u ever come across an ideal logic +30 while in minimum rate the boiler sounds as if it’s going to blow off the wall but then while in high fire it’s fine heat exchanger clean, condense etc all fine my next move is to change the gas valve the combustion in minimum rate was shocking

R1 Hopp0 yes, I think it’s normally gas valve but it could also be a few other things. Best getting ideal out to it.

Have you cleaned the injector and the Venturi? How old is the boiler?

Kevin Cranfield boiler is 3 years old heat exchanger cleaned flueways cleaned Venturi and injector clean condense clean soon as she goes into minimum rate rattles the house down

If you have checked the flue seal and cleaned everything you have mentioned then you probably have a gas valve issue, check there is no copper sulphate at the inlet and if not, replace the gas valve. If it’s under warranty call it in. 👍

Hi Allen, we have this exact boiler and we are having issues. We are getting hot water but no central heating. I’ve had a look through the manual and the internet and all things point to the diverted valve. Is there a way I can check? Thank you

I was asking because it is a common issue when topping the pressure up, the return isolation valve is inadvertently turned off causing no circulation of heat through the radiators, have you checked the flow and return valves are open under the boiler, both far left and right pipes have black levers on the valves which should be pointing straight up, just check, it’s usually the right one which has been closed, if they are o.k are you getting the central heating demand on the display?

@@kevincranfield5235 I’ve checked and all valves are pointing up. This all started a few weeks ago when we tried to put the central heating on for the first time this year. When it failed to work we called a guy in who usually services the boiler. He didn’t really fill me with confidence since he was asking for the manual and spending a lot of time on his phone. He managed to get it working again but wasn’t really sure how he did it. Just said its probably time for a new boiler. This morning, same issue and just thought i would ask on here at get a second opinion. At the moment it says on the screen ‘Timer or room stat off’ At no point does the burner light turn on, only when running the taps.

You are not getting a demand from your external controls, do you have a programmer/ thermostat. Are you electrically savvy?
