Honda E-CLUTCH Tested on the CBR650R - This is not a Quickshifter! This is not a DCT! What is it?

I have a 2023 NC-750x DCT. This e-Clutch seems to be the perfect mix between the DCT and a quick shifter. Pretty amazing stuff. I kind of wish that this was on the market when I was looking a bike a couple years ago. I think that I might have looked into getting it over the DCT.

Indeed it's the sweet spot, perfect mixure. DCT it's great but heavier with 7 Kg than E-Clutch. It still gives you the pleasure of pedal gear shifting, but it make it seamless.

@@IdealBike Yeah as much as I love the DCT, the one thing that I wish that it had would be that tactile feeling when manually shifting gears. Being able to kick up and down through the gears really does add something to the riding experience that you don't get with a DCT. Sure you can set it in manual mode and use the shift buttons but that just doesn't give that same satisfaction. I'd like to see how the E-Clutch fairs long term as far as reliability and maintenance goes... as cool as it is as of right now it doesn't offer enough for me to want to trade out of my NC-750

Use the clutch in town and for slow maneuvers then switch to e clutch on the open road. Sounds perfect to me/
