I bought my 89 GTR R-32 in Sept of 2015 and it has been a great car to own. Sure I have had to change the oil and bleed the brakes and change out the tires but it is a great car to own. Having lived in Japan for 6 years while active duty, having a right side drive again is just plain awesome and the GTR is king of the right side drives. Luckily the previous owner blew the BNR32 RB26DETT motor (ok not lucky for him) and it has a fresh BNR33 RB26DETT and its newer turbos and upgraded oil pump... all with under 30k miles on it with limited mods. Parts are not hard to find but you may have to be patient waiting for them to ship... especially right now given the ongoing global issue. All in all, scoop them up if you can find them!

Great video but a 2 important corrections 1. 93 and 94 year R32 GTRs have RB26s with a redesigned "long nose" crank and are less susceptible to oil issues and are more desirable 2. RB26 do not have forged pistons from the factor and generally speaking anything about 450wheel horsepower in stock form you're playing with fire
@asteroid19834 жыл бұрын
I own a nissan skyline GTR BNR32, so I'll talk about it a bit. Oh and feel free to ask any other questions you have. Unless you have a 6 digit income, I don't recommend buying one. That oil problem with the r32's isn't a problem with the oil pump, but with the crankshaft. All these cars should have their crankshafts replaced with the N1($700 without the labor of pulling the engine), the HICAS system should be completely removed ($200 for the hicas delete bars, $500 for the power steering unit replacement), the transmission sucks, 3rd gear is fragile like glass over 370hp (6 speed replacement costs $8k, gearset replacement costs $4k), the ECU should be replaced immediately upon import(~$1000) and that's if you're lucky and don't need to repair anything. The fuel relay has a variable 7-12 volt relay, you'll want to change that and find a constant 12 volt ignition source. Oh by the way, if you don't do any of these mods, either the car will be unbearable to drive, or you'll blow the engine.

Thanks for the info Asteroid, I am legit gonna try to get one in the next few years and I'll be saving all these tips!

This is probably going to be a bit long, brace yourselves and I apologize in advance for bad English. Ok, where do I start... I am turning 15 in two weeks, I am a male from Germany and I wanted to ask for some advice. My dream car is and will always be the Nissan Skyline R32 GTR. I have always had a passion for cars, and this is my absolute dream in life. Since I was 7 years old and drove in the passenger seat of one I felt mesmerized, like no other car I have ever driven in. The sound, the looks, the performance it's just... Perfect! I know I will get one someday, whatever it takes. It's a thing that keeps me motivated in school. So, what can I do to increase my chances of being the proud owner of one? What can I do now, and what should I do when I am older? How much will one cost me? When should I even buy one? In my twenties, thirties? I have no idea what career I want to pursue later in life. I know I am young, but I have a gut feeling that this will always be a thing I want and will not regret. Thank you to whoever reads this, wish me luck for whatever comes next in life!
