Three things. 1 cost for high end cars is lower because maintenance cost is extremely high as millage goes up. 2 reliability for most of these cars is an issue, see #1. 3 the i8 should not be on this or any list. It was a failure at launch and should be forgotten.

Masarati???? 15k = 75k. I wouldn’t pay 5k for one of those money pits, not to mention the pricier ones on the list. Had an opportunity to get a 13 Mercedes 250 with barely 30000 miles on it last year (not a super car), for virtually nothing from a family member, but I declined, and I told them to sell it to Carmax. A month later, the transmission failed (1500 plus job). Would never take any Jaguar even if it was free. Insurance, repairs, etc.

The cost of the car is lower because they are OLD. Plain and simple. Happens with ALL the cars. The trick is buying when they are at the lowest , and wait. For example I got a e30m3 for 13k 13 years ago. I algo got an e36M for 4k 8 years ago. I have rejected 120k offers for the E30M . Cost to keep it up is very cheap because I baby her and move her on a trailer. Never really drive her. If you are trying to buy any of this it shouldn't be your every day drive.

Brad, all these cars have one thing in common, their reliability it’s hideous. For more tha $60k you can get an LC500, Viper, Z06, or a Carrera 4s all with zero drama and smiles for ages.

I8 is a beautiful car, but a lot of money. I know I am not supposed to say Corvette as an exotic. But my C7 Z06 I owned and even my new C8 Z51 would whoop the I8 badly. Good video, just had to gripe about that one car in the lineup.

I had a 09 GTR a few years ago and the transmission broke. Instead of buying a new/used one I sent it off to be rebuilt and with stronger parts. Was around 7k shipped there and back. Then I had to do a transmission bellhousing mod that was another 3k. Then I went FBO with E85. After wheels and tires I spent around 21,000 dollars for about 650-700 hp....if you are on the fence of getting the GTR you may want to look at other options. Getting 500 hp is easy, but going past that you will run into problems with stock transmission. And, lets face it the 09-15 models are getting old and will be showing their age in parts...for example I had a bad left lower control arm bushing but you had to either buy aftermarket for a few hundred dollars or you buy a whole new control arm because they aren't built to be serviceable from nissan...

My GMA had a 4 door Jaguar XFR It was supercharged and really nice She then got a Panamera GTS And the Jaguar was better! She had a jaguar xk Early 2000’s when switched body style (non xkr) Also I8 roadster And I8 coupe The Jag XFR was/ is slept on It gets no love EVER

Every video I watch by this guy proves more and more how out of touch he is with reality. I couldn’t even get past the first car before realizing it’s nonsense. GTR’s were $70k cars in 2009 that markup made them stupid. GTR’s for $42k don’t exist unless they are high miles and salvaged 4 digit GTR’s are certainly not easy…. Well atleast not cheap.

GT-R transmission is solid. The myth about the bad gtr transmission was caused by people overloading the gearbox with higher HP and/or with high rpms at launch. Nissan never intended it to be a launch control setting but to help get out of snow. Nissan resolved the issue with software updates so that the rev limiter from launch is 4500rpm. But if you build a 1000hp engine and dont upgrade the transmission, you will win your award lol
