I think the main problem with the EB 110 was the lack of CHARISMA. It had a generic name and looked like a Lamborghini. I mean, compare it to the McLaren F1 who came out at around the same time and became maybe the most iconic and admired car of all time

To make it go fast while keeping and advancing the luxury interior and build quality is engineering witchcraft. It has near Rolls-Royce build quality with mind shattering speed. The closest thing to the Bugatti is Koenigsegg Regera and that is still slower... And not by an insignificant margin

It truly was. There was nothing like it when it was released. Sure, the EB110 made heads turn, and broke records, but the F1 was never designed for speed, and it shattered the record for nearly a decade. Nothing ever came close to how smooth the car would drive on regular roads. The very first time the f1 touched racetracks, which just so happened to be Le Mans, it won, and took 4 of the 5 spots. All this for a car that was never designed to be fast.

I haven't seen one in person, I would love to. I know this is gonna sound cheesy, but the EB 110, is one of my favorite cars, especially in the Crew 2. When I acquired the car... Well, let's just say, it's the only car I have been driving, in-game, ever since. Now with the Crew Motorfest, I swapped all of my data over, now I'm cruising the Hawaiian streets with my EB-110. Now, if only there was a Mercedes Benz CLK GTR... Oof. 🤙😃

I know these stats for the car are supposed to be in light of the time they were done in. BUT. A supercharged E46 M3 with an excellent race car driver in it can do the Green hell in a 6. something time Bridge to Gable and it's a two door coupe. Yes purposely modified to be a race car but still....That's a straight 6 with a standard Supercharger and I think the oiling system up graded rear wheel drive car.

Bugatti makes a really cool looking 2 tons car with a hybdrid engine making 1000+800hp. Meanwhile koenigsegg makes converts an agera rs weighing 1300kg to fit the koenigsegg jesko engine with 1600hp. On top they fit the jeskos lightspeed transmission to it, and also bolts on their own transmission that can both do 6 speed manual and 9 speed auto. Aaaaand they fit flappy padel shifters. Aaaaaaand they give the driver a way to configure which 6 gears use which of the 9 gears in the automatic mode. Aaaaaaaaand they also have an adjustable rev matcher. How can anyone chopsr this hybdrid car weighing more than my stationcar, with only 1000hp engine over a freaking monster like the new koenigsegg with a manuel/automatic transmission weighing 700kg less and having more power, when the bugatti runs out of battery after a few minutes on power…..

I was more Familiar with the Jaguar XJR-15 seen footage of pure of these getting into each other in an Endurance Racetrack once those, which survived are Museum Treasures. Naw...I thought it was fugly back then and I still think it's bloody fugly now. Bland slab sides. Generic nose. Nondescript interiors. Whereas the current Bugatti design ethos carries style, panache and character throughout, primarily thanks to VW and Piech. The 90s Bugatti design mantra wasn't all that far removed from a kit car aesthetic, courtesy of the stubbornness of _businessman_ Artioli. Just hiding behind and manipulating the nostalgia over a historic name and brand. Definitely not the work of an authentic car guy. Should've paid attention to Paolo Martin's prescient Koenigsegg-esque design. Should've left Marcello Gandini alone and let him just do his thing. Instead the EB 100 looks like the boardroom-conceived design that it wound up being. Thank the heavens for Gordan Murray and his iconic McLaren F1 that shortly followed.

This is a wonderful Volkswagen, not in any manner an actual Bugatti. Volkswagen needed a halo car to elevate the group. So, they spent over a hundred million to buy the Bugatti name, Ettore's home in France, et cetera. Branding exercise. Really its a "Bugatti?"
