I've driven both a Huracan and a Gallardo. Obviously the Huracan is faster but a Gated Manual Gallardo is way more fun to drive!

i was a huge gated manual proponent ... until i've tried a flappy paddles on a RS3, dear god this thing is freakin' awesome, it no shit switch gear faster than you can blink. 0 loss of traction, you don't even feel a thing ... also you got the advantages of a auto in traffic jams ... sorry but as much as i like old school, this is much better for everyday driving imho :x now on an exotic you drive once or twice a month i guess you don't care as much but heh

irs truly a spectacle to see how far the V10 line up has truly come for Lamborghini, all the blood sweat and tears that were put into these cars is something not every car company can do. Plus they take all their previous learning experiences from previous cars, adding them to their newer models, and yet they still keep cranking these cars that people go absolutely nuts for! I remember seeing the Gallardo at a casino once as a kid and my love for exotics skyrocketed from there, and now i look at all the bulls that roam the streets these days and can’t help but in a way be thankful we cars like these to ever dream of owning, or even just drive, heck even just to sit in! Cause it’s memories like that people will never forget, i dream to hopefully drive or own a lambo, and it’ll never die

Seems like everyone wants to crap on the Jalpa, but for their time they were still good cars. And they were vastly improved with more than just the engine size when they moved from the silhouette to the jalpa, which people seem to overlook. I love mine. It's not stock anymore after I rebuilt the engine, but I kept it aesthetically the same. The sound of the v8 they made sounds fantastic, such good sounding cars. Far more comfortable than the silhouette. I think the right combo is Jalpa for the updates with Silhouette wheels. 70s and 80s for Lamborghini were very different than today's Lamborghinis, but the vintage Lamborghinis have a soul and taste I really love, and the community surrounding them is like a big family. I've never been to a vintage Lamborghini meet that didn't have the best vibes ever.

You forgot the part about the Gallardo that it almost made it to the GT specification. Thus with the Huracan Lamborghini needed a faster and better street car to compete in the GT Championships. That was the long time goal with the Gallardo, as they wanted Lamborghini to be a racecar, a racing brand, a known name and a flerce competitor. This is why they made the Huracan STO, to celebrate that, and the fact Lamborghini had developed out of their own Super Trofeo league and was moving in to the top GT series with wins in the IMSA. Given that Lamborghini is entering the Le Mans series in 2024, it has been a huge success and they need an engine and a car that fit the high regulative demands for the series, and that's why the successor to Aventador is going to sport a Hybrid system. Same will happen to the Huracan successor as it will have to keep up with the GT3 specifications. That's how we know a new baby-bull is coming with a V8 or V6 Hybrid system. Depends on which years rules you go by

@@captain_context9991 how is it actually? You can currently buy an R8 with a bodykit and an ECU tune for twice the amount of money with a Lamborghini badge. Or if you are really only looking for the badge you can get an RSQ8 with a bodykit and an ECU tune for twice the money with a Lamborghini badge. I know how awful GM Diablos were, but they still used a Lamborghini made platform with a Lamborghini made engine. The Gallardo was still a Lamborghini platform, but it already had the RS6's V10, then that platform was used for the R8, but still the Lamborghini came first. The Huracan platform was straight up from an R8. I've talked to people that work on the Huracan/R8 duo, and they said that literally everything is the same down to the smallest nuts. VAG just doesn't understand that not every company has to make profit. If Lamborghini keeps making their own car, and loses money, then the rest of the companies in the group will still make up for it. BMW does that, so for example if one brand doesn't make an SUV, and they make maybe 10% less money then they are expected, another brand can make up the profit in the group by selling more SUVs. VAG doesn't do this and it shows very clearly by how they treat Lamborghini

Just to take one example. When Audi took over Lamborghini in the late 90s, it was very important for them that Lamborghini makes their own cars, and now just rebadged Audis. --As would be the case if Chrysler owned Lamborghini. Like.... If Ford really had bought Ferrari back in the 1960s, then Ferrari would today be reduced to a plastic sticker glued onto premium Fords made in Mexico. Because thats all that is left of Shelbys legacy. If Caroll Shelby was European, the name would be a living, modern, competitive supercar brand today. Instead they continued selling the old crap as build-it-yourself kit-cars. And he spent the rest of his 88 years living off his name and hero status without ever making his own car. Now... For VAG. It was always important that Bugatti, Lamborghini, every brand under their umbrella makes their OWN cars. Due to brand identity and heritage. (which is what I do) So... When Audi came into Lamborghini. They wanted to make a big seller. So they helped out with the Gallardo. Which is just a more fancy Audi R8. With an Audi engine. And a lot of parts carried over. But the Huracan? I dont know... I never looked into it. But the Audi R8 V10 uses an aluminium spaceframe while the Huracan uses a carbon reinforced chassis. Some people say its the same, but when I look at the pictures, they are different. Its not uncommon for brands to share platforms, however. It wouldnt be weird. And its not some "undiscovered secret" if they do. But they are still 2 different experiences, products, and brands for different customers. For example Audi develops its own 4 wheel drive system. Different from the Lambo, and the same goes for other parts. Today... Lamborghini is extremely well positioned in the market and make very desirable cars. I would say they are really quite successful now.

The Gallardo is the perfect Lamborghini supercar to quickly zip through small roads and through narrow alley ways. You can't do that in a Huracan and in an Aventador.

I don't understand why McLaren get flack for looking the same when Lamborghini don't. Can't tell the difference between a Gallardo and Mercielago at a distance. Can't tell the difference between an Aventador and a Hurracan. Can barely tell the difference between the generations. All the "one offs" are just body kitted regular ones so look roughly the same. I don't have a problem with Lamborghini doing that. I just have a problem with the free pass they get that McLaren don't.

Lamborghini has a long history of only existing because one car saved them. This is nothing new. They sold 122 350 GT's, 275 400 GT's... but that was not enough to make the car production profitable, and even though still in the era of Ferrucio Lamborghini's ownership, and agricultural equipment production, there were questions as to how viable the continued car production would be. But then they release Muira, considered the world's first true Supercar. (yes the Bugatti Atlantic and Mercedes Benz 300SL have been touted as such, but the Muira set the template for all Supercars to come).... and they sold 765.... even though it was more expensive than the first offerings. Made bank on that to some extent. Starting with a period overlapping with the Muira, from 1968 ... all the way through 1978... they sold over 1200 of their big GT machine, the Espada, but then in about the same period, they lost money on the Islero, to some extent, only selling about 220, and only about 320 Jarma's, so again, moving through the early 70s, one car was keeping them afloat. Then though, in the mid 70s, they took aim at smaller Ferraris, and released the Uraco with a V8... and they sold like... 770 odd of them. However, they also began selling a monster V12 machine, which would go on to become an icon, called the Countach, in that period.... but initially, it did NOT sell well. I mean, it sold OK, but through the 70s in to the early eighties... they sold around 710 cars.... but when the QV, and later, towards the end of the 80s, the 25th Anniversary model was released... they sold like 600+ of BOTH, managing to recover what the initial slow sales had done to chip away at what Uraco made them. In that same period however, up to say 1990, they also built the Silhouette... and only sold 55.... and the Jalpa... and only sold about 400, and of course... dropped the first real performance SUV with the LM002... and only sold about 320. So they were still making cars which were not making them the money they ideally should have, kind of propped up by the Uraco, and later Countach models. It was bad. So bad, they wound up going under. They were sold to Chrysler. Yet, they had been working on a new car when this happened... so they went to the new parent company, and asked for the cash to make it. The problem was, however, that Chrysler was engaging in something of a Hail Mary play, by buying them, hoping they might add something, and with some American sensibilities and manufacturing experience, be made profitable... and thus prove a nice income stream.....because Chrysler kind of had no money either, in reality. Nevertheless, remarkably, the Chrysler bean counters said yes. A 'Thumbs Up' was given, a light of green flashed... and so off Lamborghini went, and built the car. They called that car the Diablo: They would go on to sell about 2500 of them all told in a ten year-ish run. Again, like the Muria, and Countach, it would go on to become an ICON and basically keep them with their foot in the game. Eventually, one of the most iconic cars ever made was replaced by the Murcielago. Of course, now we are in the 21st century. They sold about 500 more of them than they did the Diablo... and now they had a big new German parent company...... but the cars were more expensive to make, had higher standards to meet, so selling about 3000 of them was not ideal for profitability. Luckily, we get to this car. The Gallardo came along, and thanks to sharing a lot of development with one of the parent companies other marques' project, including sharing an engine.... they could make it cheaper... and they could SELL it cheaper... and sell it, they DID. Well over 7000 of them, more than any other Lamborghini model. However, it is just one brand saving model, among a stable of brand saving models which have come along and kept Lamborghini out of the grave in the last 60 odd years. Fortunately, the Aventador came along, and like the Muira, Countach (eventually) and Diablo, it sold VERY well... sold about as many as the Gallardo, even though it was their flagship hypercar, and the Murcielago did not sell as well as it ideally needed to for the Gallardo NOT to save their asses. Since then, things have been looking up more and more.
