Loved this video and plan to watch it again. All the choices were great. My favorite was also the pink floral you said was your favorite if the quilt was for you. My second favorite was the yellow combination after your favorite. That’s interesting because yellow is not my color. I’m an analogous blue green person myself! Thank you so much for your videos. Yellow and Orange were the colors I had to work the hardest on to learn to love. We might be color-twins. I do love them now.

At least one yard. I usually only buy sale fabric. So if the sale is good enough? I might buy the whole bolt. It really depends on what my stash is needing. I only buy fabric that I LOVE.

I was going to say the teal print at 2:48 until a at 3:11 I saw that pink floral. That does it for me. I’ve never understood the color wheel. I think it’s all those big words. Who needs to know all that? 😂 I just seem to have a natural color sense. I like what I like. The only place I get stuck sometimes is when I’m trying to match something with a certain color and I can get a little weird if it off. The monochromatic exercise helps solve that problem. Your quilts and color selections are wonderful. Thanks for the tips and encouragement.

I enjoy your videos. Taught myself how to quilt 9,years ago. I was "bolder" about the quilts I made. Stopped sewing during covid. Started again but I'm not getting the same joy from it because I've become "timid" about colours I use. Freddy Moran an improv quilter in an interview, she gave, she said red goes with everything but beige doesn't. I'm trying to think of that. The way you chose colours is educational. Apart from family no one will see my quilts as I don't know anyone who quilts. That's why channels like yours are necessary. Thanks.

I work at a fabric and craft store and when people ask me their opinion between two fabrics that work, I ask if they want to darken/tone it down or brighten it up. (They usually have a light and a dark or something that pulls out a color that isn't the main one) Quilters really are artists, they know what color combos work and how to use them to make really dynamic quilts. Quilters also can talk about color all day long
