I'm also learning how to lighten up during this process of "spiritual detox"... It can be painful and anxiety-inducing to really get our emotional baggage out of our brain(ego driven part of ourselves)... Let go n Let God then just enjoy each part of our days' as best we can. Much love to you!!!

A big hello from an Indian American MD in North Carolina, USA. Your book "Dying To Be Me" is so unique, inspiring, and amazing. As to depression: I can write a whole essay on this but will just write a little bit. After 40 years of medicine, I am SO APPALLED by the lack of effects and the horrible side effects of PSYCHIATRIC DRUGS. They just destroy lives. But in the USA, psychiatrists are poorly paid for their time. They have to run about 20-30 patients through per day in order to make a half way decent living and pay their office expenses. All - repeat, all- of these visits are to prescribe drugs, and change drugs. They delegate any counseling to psychologists. Having studied medicine and spirituality for 30 years, I can resonate with what you say but I kind of doubt that an average person can really understand. For instance, to know what we came to this life for. It is near impossible for an average person to know what that is. And also, not knowing " who we are." That was the profound teaching of Ramana Maharishi who taught to understand, "who am I." He changed the lives of countless people, even long after his death. Psychology now teaches MBSR, or Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. This is valuable for depression and anxiety but not easy to learn especially in the depths of depression or anxiety. Plus, I have found that many Christians would not accept this, saying it is against God's law. But taking knock-out psychiatric drugs is fine with God's law! So how can we win?

Love this as ideas for daily living. The 'Who am I?' question is so valuable for many situations, including when trying to make a decision. Thank you to the person who went back to add chapters to your videos, that's so helpful! And thank you for another great video.

I found your beautiful video's on KZbin because I love hearing others NDE experiences. Thank you for sharing your miracle with the world!!! When my life got so hard years after my brief NDE, I got very sad and depressed and wanted to go back into the light to the unspeakably profound love there. I didn't want to be here anymore. Eventually I got better and could see the blessings in my life again. I'll always remember God's love in the light, and I don't fear death now. I try to remember that feeling & place again when in prayer and meditation. Thank you for your message to love ourselves!

Thank you Anita I truly understand your message but to me it feels like such an overwhelming task . I am struggling very much right now. It’s debilitating. I am a highly sensitive empath who has suffered physical, emotional and mental abuse from my mother and have lost myself. Now at 54 I am struggling to understand who am I. I have lost everything in my life twice now and I know there is a reason . A message behind it but I just can’t understand . I feel so lost and off track. It feels so hard.

Hey dear Lisa, I can relate. Hope this helps: In my experience I saw a part of my journey which is called "lost ". During this part one is really lost - that's the confusion, the not understanding. I believe it's also what you're going through. But the good thing is that this is known and seen as well by God/ the universe. You feel really lost but in actuality you're not. Understanding comes later, not now. Much love from a fellow soul in Germany.

Years of anger , lack,of support .to this day they pretend still do not get why I get anxiety and accept my body system . It runs in my family .why people refuse to get it.

barb derick Barb.... I am going through the SAME thing. I learned a support system is important but we can't depend on it. We can support each other. I always felt of they loved me they would educate themselves to try to understand and support us. Instead I get treated like a faker and an attention seeker. When in fact I prefer the spotlight not on me. Loving ourselves as she says and most of all supporting one another! We will find our way out. I love her videos. Take care of yourself Barb. Keep searching for your health and happiness. Feel free to to contact me personally. I can relate. Love and light your way

Thank you for answering those questions from our beautiful friends in France... Howdy 🤠 y'all, from the "Lil Old Ladies from Pasadena" lmao ... I'd been needing clarity on those questions too. My sister's best friend passed away from "suicide" because she suffered anorexia, drug abuse, and an abusive relationship (which is just a MIRROR of how we feel about ourselves). So many of us cope with PTSD(reliving the past over n over in our heads) or feeling too anxious about what could happen in the future... Eckhart Tolle explained that we live OUR future, one moment at a time. Therefore, it feels best and is wisest to focus(focused clarity: Abraham Hicks term) on ONLY THE CURRENT MOMENT!!! Love 💓😍💓😍💓😍 y'all (our community of healers and searchers of more God realized folks with all my heart and soul)!!! Thank you Anita M. for being such an amazing force of goodness in our World 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

I search for a multitude of ways to calm my overactive mind(anxiously waiting for the future to be here NOW). However, I'm finally learning to CALM DOWN and just go with the flow!!! Life will have ups and downs, but it won't help anything to worry about Negative things that could happen. If we re-train our brains(egoic mind) to stop and just breath, we'll all feel more content with what IS... LESS FIGHTING IT... melt into a space of love and appreciation for our family and friends. Take care!

Anita, can you clarify at 7:09 when you say by knowing who you are within and then what will happen is your path will unfold before you? I thought the path will only unfold if we take action. How can you recognize your pure essence? Do you mean that in terms of weaknesses and strengths? Or do you we mean in terms of emotional or spiritual? Thank you.

Hello, dear Anita! I'd like to know how you see the reasons for a person to choose to live? I've just come to a conclusion that one should make a deliberate decision to choose life over desth and what he/she wants to create in life or why one should hold on to life even when it seems hard or meaningless. Though Viktor Frankle wrote about this in his books, this theme of a conscious creative choice seems to be still vaguely covered.

Hi Anita, while I love your take on many spiritual matters, I am not sure I agree with your description of depression. For me, it sounds like you are confusing a medical condition, with a lack of fulfillment in ones occupation. There is significant amount of respectable research and evidence that depression is a medical condition. One cannot simply "change their outlook" or approach to life, and be rid/cured of a mental health condition like depression. Blessings from Canada.
@angiebradley13566 жыл бұрын
Paulina Undurraga Hi Paulina, I think Anita was saying something different to either the "just pull yourself together" or the purely psychiatric approach to depression. Instead she encourages to encompass our spiritual being by going within, to find ourselves beyond the labels.. Depression has been present in my life since I was a child, sometimes to a critical extent. It is in my family too, past & present. While I do have a diagnosis and take medication, I have also always been a sensitive & a deep enquirer into spiritual matters & life's big questions. If we accept that the spiritual dimension of life is part of who/what/why we are, to whatever degree, then until we make space for this fundamental part of who we are, we will not be able to express it. And when we have looked within, authentic expression becomes more and more important, in my experience. I attend a wonderful arts centred, low cost project for people affected by adverse mental health here in Ireland. I've been going there for years because it helps me to express myself as the artist I am, who has been there from the beginning and who even knew it enough to go to art school~ free & grant aided to low income families, back in the days when Britain (where I grew up) knew the importance of college education being available to all, and where 'education' meant more than only grooming you for employment. Despite all this, life took me to other places far harsher, that exacerbated the depression & suppressed my soul's creative longing. Through this project, I remembered what I have to do to be well, regardless of medication. I felt that this is more like what Anita is suggesting, owning that need to express our inner selves, regardless of what else we may be doing in our lives. More about honouring our deeper layers, and giving them vital expression. I'd say that doing so has helped me cope better with depression & anxiety, and I understand it as a need from within~ i.e. a soul need. I hope this helps in some way, Paulina, & for whoever else reads it ✨💗✨
