I used this video to learn how to back a motor home before we rented one. Really helped a lot. The first time I backed into a spot went nearly perfect which really helped build my confidence. Thank you for the video. I've been looking for a video as good as this one but for a fifth wheel.

Excellent video. However, most people don't own motor homes. Do you have any tips and videos on how to back up travel trailers? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It stated the passenger side would be more difficult, some campgrounds there is no other choice the way they direct traffic patterns. Would you apply the 8' rule on the passenger side as well???

Will the 3 and 1procedure work with a 5th wheel camper? Doyou set it up with the 8 feet from the back wheels?

What is there isn’t enough room to pull the coach forward before he can no longer see the spotters right shoulder?

If you have a tag axle, do you make the mark 8 ft in front of the center of it ?
@dizzyred1390 Жыл бұрын
You mark from the center of the main rear axle …. Not the tag

Great video!. It looks like the spotter was tapping his left shoulder and the driver turned the coach until they couldn't see his left shoulder. Am I missing something here?
@ronw87997 жыл бұрын
It looked like his left shoulder because it was a "mirror image" Go stand in front of a mirror and tap your right shoulder and see what it looks like!

how do you backup if you are by yourself?
@mebarry4 жыл бұрын
My coach is 101 inches (8’5”). Does this make a difference on the 8’ mark?
@dizzyred13903 жыл бұрын
I’m guessing this applies to a tag axle for the correct measurement on the back tire also ?
@greglara623 жыл бұрын
You measure 8' from the front-most axle, not the tag axle.

What about the person RVing alone? You can't back into a site if you are alone?
@KJ-xx6xr5 жыл бұрын
Its easy. Like backing a semi up, go watch ScottieD67 and look up his backing videos. I've been driving Class A rv's since I was 16...after 23 years, ScottieD's videos actually made it easier for me to back up the behemoth rv and get it right with minimum pull ups to reset myself for the backing.

Do you have one for a TT?
@anonymousperson4363 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't risk my spotter being only an arm's length distance.

Does the length of the coach change the 8 foot mark?
@69THGILF5 жыл бұрын
No. The 8' is the width of the coach

Only good for motor home. Not useful for towed trailers
@mr.d73724 жыл бұрын
Massively overcomplicated. If you need to apply this system you provably shouldn't be on the road
