Hey, thanks for the informational video. I tried connecting a pressure transmitter to an analog module and set the air regulator at 50 psi but when I go online it shows that the transmitter’s reading are all over the place. Would you happen to know why?

I started my FT1A project today, and I put a numerical display on my screen layout. I wanted a text label on it that says "ppm". So I put a text block there. But I could not put the text where I wanted because the numerical display was always "in front". It would always cover up the text. I selected the text and clicked "bring to front" and I also clicked on the numerical display and selected "send to back" but nothing worked. Is it impossible to put text within the boundaries of the numerical display?

Let me give it a try this afternoon. I would think you could just layer it, like you tried.

@@huntxtrm i researched this today and I think the answer is no... you have to put a text label next to or below/above the numerical display.

@@michael931 I would try to create a seperate screen for your Text, then overlay it onto the screen with the Numerical Display. I have not done this with a numerical display. But, its worth a try. If you need help creating an overlay screen, let me know.

@@michael931 It works for numerical displays on FT1A, just tried it. Good luck with it.

Could you show how to put the 4-20 to inches? That would be awesome

Are you using a laser analog? Or some sort of analog measurement device? You need to know the range of the device. It is simple. If you still need help on this, let me know. Sorry for the late reply.

Once you configure the analog input and assign the data location, then you run the program in the PLC, does it just read the analog input continuously, independent of the scan time? How fast is the conversion?
@huntxtrm4 жыл бұрын
The FC6A reads at 100khz. I am pretty Sure. Your analog input is basically converting data, dumping iit into a data register. Your programing then executes how you have it written. It still happens pretty fast. Only thing that works out side of scan time is an interrupt, or highspeed counter as far as I know. I honestly have never dealt with an analog that needed to be read fast. I would call IDEC Tech support on this one, if you are needing a specific answer.

Hello again. Can you help me with question how to update system program on fc4a-d40s3 from v201 to v205. Without this update I can’t use macro ANST and analog input modules like fc4a-j8c1

I would call Idec Tech Support on that one. I have honestly never used an FC4. I will try and look at ot this weekend though. If I figure it out, I will post it.

ControlFreak I tried to update system software with datafilemanager but the button to update system software is inactive. I looked in the directory of data file manager and there are no files for fc4a, only for fc5a & fc6a

where do you transfer tags from your plc to hmi panel ?. do you put ethernet cable between cpu and hmi ?.
@huntxtrm4 жыл бұрын
On tag editor there is an import and export button. Export to your desktop from winldr, import from your desktop to nv4. Thats how I do it. I dont think you can do it directly between the 2 units.
