You didn't re code the new injectors to the engine ECU ? you also didn't torque the injector bracket hold down bolts. Its not about doing it as quick as possible its about doing it correctly,in my opinion

good video on changing the Injectors ! someone left the bolt loose on my tdi, or somehow it has come loose. (the one that needs a male spline to open) and i can get a better idea how to re-tighten it...i will open it all up and clean the excess diesel and dust, and then refit it all and re-tighten it. plus the spline bit is on order so will take a few days to arrive. I dont think i need to change the brass seals or anything else do i ? Thanks

Any injector that is replaced with another comes with a new code that must be entered after its installation, this whole procedure must be done with a tester

@idennis75 Thank you for this great video. Do you know what the purpose of that rubber seal on the injector? I have a 2014 Passat TDI and my injector wells are filling up with oil. I am trying to figure out if I need to change out that sealing ring or if I need to change the entire valve cover. Car has 110K miles.

It might be diesel which means one of your injectors are not closing 100%. If it's oil I can't figure out how oil would get in there unless it's coming by the valve stem seals which in a diesel that's a little harder and it should not have a rubber seal on the injectors on the diesel they use a copper or brass seal

@@idennis75 It is definitely sooty oil. I am thinking the valve cover may be leaking around the opening where the injectors enter into the engine. The pooling is very slow, about 10mL every few months. I was thinking about replacing valve cover and the valve cover gasket to see if this corrects the problem. I am sure it being plastic, the assembly may have warped or cracked.

Being that it's diesel if oil is getting into the piston area the car would not run or run really rough on diesel engines you have to have very good compression to ignite the diesel so if oil is getting in you don't have compression on one of the cylinders at least

It’s diesel mix with dirt so it looks black like oil am having same problems on my 2013 Passat tdi with 107k miles

I have oil on top of the injectors. I’m assuming is coming from the bottom is that possible?

The torq spec for the bolt is 7nm + 180°. And they should always be renewed, they are stretch bolts. Don't do what he does and do it by feel, you risk breaking them or they will come loose again.

As long as the flow is the same which means the diameter of the holes on the injector the computer will do the rest

Thank you so much for this video! I have the same issue here with my passat 2012 tdi. The servicing company asked for 2000 dollars so they could identify which fuel injector is not working properly and also replace it with a new one. I am planning to do all the job by my self but the problem is I dont know which one of them is the bad fuel injector! Is there anyways to identify that home without paying that much money?

If it is under diesel gate warranty the injectors are covered 100% by the dealer including your rental car.

Hi guys i need help with my 13 passat tdi i replace the head gasket put everything together and now the car star good but if i turn it off then turn it on back run but shut off sometimes it runs back bun if not i let it for couple hours and tried again and works again i can drive it and run the car normal untill i turn it of so what can i do to solve this problem ease help
