VIDEO REMADE using better video/audio equipment and more graphics, to match the rest of the series videos. Sorry for the re-upload guys, but I think you'll find this video more watchable. :) Also I'll be releasing new videos more regularly now, shooting for one a week.

@@CognitiveTypology I do ! You know this feeling that you wish you had known Steve Jobs or Elon Musk or Voltaire from the start of their work, to have a chance to "live" it and also see the cognition grow? I have the exact same feeling right now. To be correct it's an intuition. :D btw, I haven't digged deeper enough to link it to a specific point on your content, but have you heard about Social Panorama? Their research is on how we (can) map our internal world to external space so that we can make changes. I'm Ne dom and I feel like this is how I'm internally wired, therefore for sure it makes sense how my eyes are going to "look" at these elements outside whereas they are mapped inside :)

I'm also at aww of your intelligence, knowledge, and passion Juan. I can't wait to grow old and watch the progression of this system. Jung would be proud.

This makes now three different definitions of Introversion/Extroversion: One is defined where your energy comes from, the second is how you appear from the outside and the third is this, the relation to the object which might overlap with the energy definition. But in terms of the psychological consequences, the question of the energy is most important. And that makes it clear that the appearance can be misleading. If you look at the energy side, I am as introverted as you could be with a fair share of autism included. With people it is downright abysmal, with inanimate objects perhaps not as much. But I have seen the recording of myself in a TV show and there I was doubtlessly an extrovert. I call this the "battery effect": if you are not totally impaired, you can be extroverted without any problems - for a certain time, until that battery is empty. And that time period can be quite long, up to ten, twelve hours, I admit that I have trained that ability for years in the sales department. But after that, I have to seclude myself for a long time to recharge my battery. So, I would say that vultology is unable to tell if you are really extroverted or introverted until your observing period outlasts that battery. Of course I can say that only from the Introverts perspective, but as far as I know do Extroverts seek the object to recharge from while I disengage to do it.

Since vultology, or most methods if not all, require interpersonal interaction, sometimes I wonder if interpersonal issues may obscure the image of the subject when they display themselves to others, especially for individuals who spent most of their life secluded.

So interesting. Learning so much about myself. My Fe connects all day, but I'm learning to use my inferior Ti to process my thoughts and process internally

Super interesting! I commend you for making such a lucid and grounded continuation of Jungs typology, will definitely continue to explore this model. Do you know if Jung posited that a 50/50 allocation is most conductive to personal development? What is your view on the "optimal" balancing of the functions? Regarding the "absolute ratio" of intro/extroversion: As far as I know Jung emphasized the continual development of our oscillations in this regard, and for me it seems arbitrary to posit that our ratio is absolute, because how relevant is our typological disposition from 4 years ago? People undergo vast transformations in this time period, especially young people as in your examples. It seems a bit like saying: Everybody has an "absolute ratio" in their BMI or bloodpressure or whatever. Therefore, our defining of this "absolute ratio", whether or not it is impractical, remains for me practically useless in such long time periods because I deem the scope of personal development too wide for such precise definitions. Maybe I am too nitpicky in this regard however As it seems that your point was not to determine the precise useful timeperiods, but rather to illustrate that we always manifest a ratio of somekind regardless of our consciousness thereof. Regarding the accuracy of these predictions: Do you have data for the claim that you could predict the intro/extro ratio a month in advance based on two 10 minute videos, or is this purely speculative? Has there been any speculation or development of AI algorythms for automating the process of typological identification? Perhaps the specific type is someways of but intro/extroversion should not be too difficult? My knowledge in this regard is highly limited but it seems to me that an AI with the ability to identify typology would be very useful, (though a bit terrifying)

What are your thoughts on Jim Black from Quora who does facial typing? He seems to have a big database of photos and each 16 quasi distinct facial structure corresponds to a personality type?

Is it a software that you use to track the eye gaze for introversion and extroversion or is it added in post production ?
@CognitiveTypology

I've had to do the tracking in post production, such as with After Effects. A few of our community members have been thinking about making a software that can automate this process, but it's a work in progress.

@@CognitiveTypology Thanks for the answer! Yes the gaze direction software would be amazing also in a therapeutic process to see where things are stored in the person's mind
