Hi Cynthia. My first paragraph is quite lengthy with a total of 363 words. Is this okay? In the paragraph I have sentence introducing the type of leader I think I am and I am detailing one role but covering 2 scenarios where I feel I made an impact. I plan on adding 2 more paragraphs (covering different roles) and a conclusion but I'll definitely stick to the max 500 words.

Hi Cynthia, Chevening has listed this point as a weakness as mentioned by the reading committee on the website: * "Some applicants focussed on leadership examples from their early academic experiences, even their school experiences, rather than examples from their recent or current professional experience which may have provided more relevant examples of leadership ability". Should I include or exclude any instances from a long time ago? What are your views on this?

I imagine it will probably be fine to write an example from an earlier period of your life so long as you also give a more recent example as well. It just doesn't look good for someone to have "peaked" in high school.
