Hello Angelyn! I love that u show the growth cycle of the plant from beginning to end, the plant parts, and what each part is called! The name of the parts has always been confusing, I’ve never came across a book or anyone who clearly show and defines them as well as u do, because of this, u r greatly appreciated!!! Thank u

These smell soo good in midsummer. The bees really like these flowers too so not only does it help the monarchs it supports bees too!

While milkweed is important, even more crucial is late-season nectar plants for them and all their insect colleagues too! So plant goldenrods and plenty of asters!

I planted several seeds of common milkweed for the monarchs, which made several plants. Since then they have spread all over the place. I really don't mind. If it pops up where I don't want it I just cut it off.

Common milkweed and Showy milkweed are edible. However, you must learn how to cook it properly to extract the milky latex in this plant. There are 3 different stages of growth in which different parts of the plant is edible, if cooked properly. Not all varieties of this plant are safe to consume. Be sure to study and consult with an expert before you try this plant......
