Thanks! We got it open at the end of the season and had time so we rebuilt pinedale trail also. Video of this being ridden is on my channel and other build videos from this past summer.

Are all the mini excavator about the same. I’m thinking about buying one. Which one do you prefer? Thanks.

Yes and no. All name brand diesel minis in the same class are very similar. I used a couple and rested on the u17 as it was strong/reliable and has good motion/control. If your thinking cheap Chinese version no they do not hold a candle however for the price they are a value but expect a lot of unexpected. Kubota has a great warranty if bought new and peace of mind from great customer service leaves you fuzzy and warm. This unit and others of the same model I have used have gone through hell and I have been in some very sketchy/rough terrain and had zero issues. The u17 seems to also be a very very popular choice for single track style builders and for park work as well do to their ability to collapse the tracks. I have found it very useful. My 2nd choice would be A cat in the same class. if money was no issue I probably would have gone cat. Kubota had killer financing options and awesome performance so I opted for it. Since I basically volunteer my time and effort I couldn't justify cat.
