More Narco related stories! OR the 1985 Palace of Justice siege in Colombia where 35 M-19 guerrillas overtook the court and killed half of the Supreme Court justices because of the extradition treaty with the US, then battled the army for hours, some say Escobar maybe financed the operation but that’s still speculation.. I personally hold that Delta is the best CT unit out there, but the best hostage rescue ever conducted, in my opinion, is got to be THUNDER BOLT. McRaven used it as one of his case studies in his book 'Special Operations', and no wonder why. Those Syaret Maktel guys embody the elite. SGM Mike Wining even said in an interview on ReconCast, during the early days when Delta was being formed, they were the hardest to impress. He explained when showing their early capabilities, they were only truly moved by Delta's shooting and CQB, but otherwise they were like 'yeah, ok good enough' 😂. Shalom from America gentlemen

I remember this like it was yesterday, and woke up to the news. We must never forget what those incredibly brave IDF troops did for us all. That mission was planned to the very last detail, they even had fighters cover the attack force as they made their way south. Also, they tended to choose people from the regular duty rosters as much as possible who had always done their jobs well, rather then the jock types. One was the guy who got to fly the lead C-130 into Entebbe, another was a lady reservist who was a theater make up artist whose talents were needed. Goosebumps happening here for me!
