not to discredit the achievement, but these days that's not really abnormal, we had a robotics club in elementary school where we designed and programmed robots to complete defined challenges using mindstorm back in the late 90s, an era where most people didn't have any computers whatsoever this isn't too different and the facial recognition wasn't programmed by the kid, so all he coded like is "move this motor if this, move that motor if that" the stuff some kids do in scratch is much more complicated, if you don't know what scratch is, it's a programming language for kids that's been introduced in some elementary schools, we have kids coding fully functioning games at like the age of 8 tl;dr it's just a new generation, coding will be as basic as multiplication table in the future

Airsoft guns are banned, and anything that can fire a projectile at a certain speed (think faster than a nerf gun but considerably slower than a bullet) needs to be registered and used at an appropriate facility. My guess off of this information is that NSW police were looking for an excuse to lift him because of his money laundering video. They saw the tampon gun, and tried to get him for creating an unregistered “firearm” that he used in his own home.

There's a reason that a niche YT channel where a 20-something comedian largely covering the twists and turns of politics of a single state has a subscriber count in the same ballpark as most of Australia's mainstream media channels. True story time. While going to college in a remote town, the trailer I was living in got robbed while I was home for a weekend. When I got back to school and saw what had happened, I called the cops. Not because I thought they had any chance of catching the guy, but I had to file a police report as part of the insurance. They did send a policeman to my house who milled around for a bit and we started talking. Apparently, break-ins at this town were very, *VERY* common. I asked him for suggestions on how to possibly prevent it in the future and I swear to you he said, "Well, you could tie a shotgun trigger to your doorknob. It would help us out a lot".

I got some ideas 1: make it where the gun follows your mouse and shoots when you click, it would be fun to have people try to get your gun while shooting them from the safety of home. 2: grab a friend that can code so it tracks body’s and movement so this works better 3: have a small little building have a gun you control at the top and 3 guns around the building while people try to get to your little base while your inside the building chilling

Yk I was working to build an object detection airsoft tank.. I think I might use a paintball gun now. Seems more fun, just would have to make the tank either taller or longer to accommodate the CO2 canister.. my code though is pretty solid for the actual object detection, i rarely having a false positive. It detect overall people, not face.. though I could adapt it to detect a face (: I actually did plan on using a similar method as the kid (before I ever seen any video on it), which is have a crosshair in the center of the screen and wait until the center of the bounding box equals the center of the screen… and move servo’s for X and Y until it does so… cause I’m bad at math LOL If anyone’s curious, my project is written in Python, but using C++ for the detection libraries (OpenCV), and using pyfigmata to interface with an arduino.

Dear I did a thing, I'm a thirteen year old boy who likes to collect and play with airsoft g's. I could have reccomended something different for the face recognition given the fact that you and your friends got knee capped, crotch capped, and chest capped. If you had a larger base and a larger "vise" for the G word, you could have put something in that doesn't have as high of a recoil and has ammo capacity as a base. I've built one of these for my airsoft not so mini g and it works well as a turret. Just wanted to let you know and say I love your videos.
