Bless you darling! I also saw the original cast and was moved by this song. It changed my life. My brother passed in 2005 from an AIDS related illness, we measure our life in love. I am so profoundly sorry for your loss.

I work as a payroll advisor for the hospital I am employed at. We are in charge of running the payroll for the entire staff in every department especially the ones on the frontline. Though we are pretty much the bottom of the staff hierarchy since we I am an administrator under HR. Having no option to work from home & going to work despite the ongoing pandemic I am fortunate for the job I do. With Rent being one of my all time fave musicals I’m reminded that although I’m not physically on the frontlines in my hospital, I do what I can to make sure those who are get paid for everything they do to help us in our time of need 🥰

I saw the first performance in NY...Then in San Francisco ...Then in London...Then the 25th Anniversary show in SF last year...Every company brought their own magnificence and power...Folks seated around us had seen the show many more times than us and we shared a bond. I still wear the original tee shirt I bought, and it still fits‼️ And we continue to share Seasons of Love. Bless you all🌹

Crying at close to 3 am...this hit me right in the heart...gave me the feels and chills and such a message we need every day...RENT is by far..my ULTIMATE FAVORITE MUSICAL and Im grateful to all the casts and crew... And to those on the frontlines and its a great reminder that life is a gift and we should never take it for granted....i sang part of this at my sisters funeral in June 2020 and told everyone to forget regret and no day but today and to use the 525, 600 minutes wisely and as well as possible and to measure it in love not hate or fear...thank you for this beautiful gift you gave us with this performance straight from the mind of brilliant creator Jonathan Larson😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This musical holds such a place in my heart it's what got me into musical theater while watching it at least I can't sing for s*** and what gave me a love and passion for the songs the stories behind them I'm currently watching this with my 8 lb Chihuahua mix cujo and wondering if he's even understanding why in the hell am I showing this to him I don't know for me I want to pass this on to my children maybe my nieces and nephews they're a little too young at the moment for rent at least but I want to pass this on to the people in my life the people I care about and that does include my crazy little furball who I've listened to me cat or wall dance and just generally act crazy with these songs and hopefully one day I'll get to introduce them to my kids
