Forgot to take the cam gear out for the oil pump drive and distributor before removing camshaft, it hurts to watch this because as Machinist I've torn down so many engines. Get them ready to be put back together.

I knew there was something I would miss. I know which part you are talking about tho. This was my first time so there was bound to be mistakes.

When your pulling the cam out, you need to be careful not to score the cam bearings in the block, with the cam lobes. Back when I messed with engines, I would thread a long bolt into the cam, and use it as a handle to help guide the cam out. The cam bearings are a bitch to replace, because they need to be orientated with the oil passages drilled in the block. If you install the cam bearings wrong, the cam will starve of oil, and bad things will happen... don't ask me how I know. In general, you should take great care, and go slow when tearing an engine apart, because sending parts to a machine shop is crazy expensive. The shop I work at, charges $150 per hour for machining. We don't machine engine parts, just small quantity runs for local area business. Good job tearing it apart.
