I’ve never had SPAM, but my sons love it when they go camping, they fry it up on their little stoves and throw it in some Top Ramen. I’m going to give this bun recipe a try! Hi Rose!

We grew up on this, and Treat, the knockoff version. Never eat it cold, it's congealed. Hit a knife on bottom of can to release suction. Eat it by itself. Fry it up for breakfast or for dinner dice it and fry it with a can of diced potatoes

Spam has an acquired taste, not gamey like liver but it has a SlimJim-type smell and taste which most people are not used to

Spam is pretty good. I like to buy it for emergency rations, them pan fry it in some butter and pepper with an onion cut in half in the pan. Then I toast the burger buns in the oil, then toss the spam back in with a slice of pepperjack to melt the cheese. Then cover the buns with ranch and lastly put a little bit of a1 steak sauce on the spam. Best spam burger I've ever made.

FUN FACT: Before introducing the Filet-O-Fish sandwich, McDonalds experimented with several other meatless burgers for Fridays and Lent. (Prior to Vatican II when they allowed you to eat meat on Fridays if you were Catholic.) Ray Croc's favorite sandwich was a "burger" with a normal bun, fried pineapple, and cheese. They even test marketed it in actual stores. Needless to say, the fish sandwich (Also, strangely, with cheese,) won the day and became McD's only non-meat offering for many years.

I haven't eaten Spam since I was a kid. Mom would bake it and put a brown sugar mustard glaze on it. The sauce helped me choke it down. Lol

I have survived 36 years without eating Spam, so I don't know if I am going to change that lol 🤣🤣 Although trying it on top of 2 burger patties smothered with melted cheese does sound like a good option. I am pretty sure that this is the first time we have heard Rose speak, and she is even cuter now 😍
