Spam is a favorite on the Hawaiian Islands - is it time for us to work it into an insane double smashed burger with grilled pineapple? Hell yes it is.

We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️

Yassssss! IT CAN EASILY BE DONE!!! Plant the green top. It roots easily. It DOES take a long time to grow a new pineapple fruit tho... Between 2 & 3 years, depending on climate & how much regular water it gets. However! It's a VERY low maintenance plant. Plant it. And forget it. And be patient. Succession plant the green tops for a regular supply of fruit.

Yup. Spam has gotten a bad rap in the last 20 or 25 years. But damn, it's really good when creatively mixed into some recipes. I've been to the Hawaiian Islands (mostly the Big Island) many times and it's so weird how Spam is such a a local staple. And hell yeah, I've learned to love it. ;)

@@tescherman3048 The weird Spam Culture comes from WW2 when our troops were stationed on the island. Spam was a trooper staple back then. The Islanders happily adopted it as their own. They were also extremely pleased that they could stash a bunch of cans for the hard times. (Are there hard times in Hawaii? Seems like you could grow just about anything, at any time of year!)

Found your channel a few weeks ago by accident and I am FAN. As someone who has turned to KZbin recently for cooking tutorials as well as rising prices in cable/subscription packages, (oh brother), mixing easy cooking tutorials with great comedy and a family atmosphere (minus the cusing but I love the cussing, im 37 lol) makes for a great watch. I definitely think you should add an "grill ouch" counter to the vids. What does that mean?? Simple: never in the history of cooking have I heard one man yell ouch everytime he grills. Therefore having a counter in the video to count everytime you say ouch while grilling would be f****ng hilarious! Love you guys and keep up the great work.
