They should secure the barrier so that tourists can’t approach the horses. It’s clear that they are uncomfortable, they bite often and act up. They are working horses not photo ops.

It sound s like a good idea. A couple a flaws; its a public sidewalk, and barriers around the horses can be very dangerous for when they get spooked or alert by something happening around. More armed police around would be better, but also, it doesn't look that good. But i agree the public shouldn't be allowed right up in their faces.

I aways think about that when the CoH goes behind the horses when the new horses come out. I saw on another video where the incoming regiment were dismounting in the courtyard and one of the Troopers got kicked in the stomach

Restraining Barriers. Would be too dangerous for the horses. As well as they are standing on a Public footpath, it would be an obstruction. A panicked horse could badly injure itself and rider, as well as onlookers.

These horses and soldiers in their antique uniforms are solely there as a tourist attraction. People are allowed to stand close and touch the horse and have photos taken - that is the whole point! It's touching the reins which is forbidden.

In the past, I suspect people had more respect for the horse and guard. But the majority of people are stupid. Put up a barrier around the horse. And a sign “DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSE”. It really irritates me that no one cares that the horses bit is bothering them. It's not placed correctly and sometimes their tongue goes over the bit and is extremely uncomfortable for them and could also hurt them. So it really makes me angry that even the guards don't realise this 😢

Do you seriously think that these highly trained soldiers do not know how to treat their horses? The bit will be pla ced correctly at all times, the soldier and horse are on duty, tourists are mainly brain dead! Why do they think our Kings guards are an attraction for a photo opportunity! They do care, they will ask for help when needed. The horses are only on duty for an hour at a time then go into their stalls. They have a very high standard of care, and even get to go away for an annual holiday.
