The closest you can get to a Radiohead gig vibe no doubt .

The music was awesome, but the crowd was surprisingly dead. Standing completely still for the most part. Hardly any dancing. Barely any head nodding. Sydney show 2 Nov. Also, the sound in the middle of the standing area was pretty pants. Better right at front and at the back near the steps.

The entire show i kept joking that every song was idioteque and then he played it i was so happy, gave a good energy boost after bawling my eyes out to dawn chorus
@essbeenz18 күн бұрын
Dawn chorus was amazing. Pin drop quiet in the crowd, which was nice cause it stopped the two guys next to my from their constant yapping.
@jackday818518 күн бұрын
@essbeenz I hope it wasn't me next to you yapping😭🙏🏻, but yeah dawn chorus was amazing and I couldn't recover for the rest of the show, I loved singing along to airbag and lucky but I was wailing rather than singing

As I've watched the tour videos so far, I'm just in awe of Thom's unique performance. He controls the technical buttons, he reaches exactly where he needs to with perfect precision, he doesn't make mistakes, he manages the looper, he plays instruments, he sings...pfff...some divine talent....This requires great concentration and thinking about several things while he delivers the songs emotionally very seriously....This is inimitable.....Only he knows this....I may be damn sentimental, but I don't care.... This guy is a miracle.❤❤❤

I don't know what's wrong with me. People's constant shrieking and woooo-ing at live music that they enjoy ruins the experience for me, whether in person or on a recording. But that is clearly the way most people react to sounds that they like - a reaction I've been witnessing for decades now. I know I sound insufferable but just listen...some dude behind the camera is clearly tone-deaf, just mumbling the lyrics over the actual performance. As soon as there is audible space, here comes another "wooooo!". I wish I could say I'm 60+ with this disposition but I'm a fairly young person who's had enough. Can we find a different way to communicate our approval?

Aussie audiences eh. It’s like a raucous karaoke to the point that you can’t even hear the singer you’re seeing live, singing. Which raises the question: why bother?
@libelle15618 күн бұрын
We could hear him live just fine, but remember this is just a phone recording - it's picking the audience up because we're closest. We'll get good audio for this and it'll sound much better :)
@David-dv2lb18 күн бұрын
It happens a lot here yeah. Ive had shows ruined by shitty audiences who cant help themselves singing louder than the person on stage. I often dont go to bigger shows anymore cause i know the audience is gonna be annoying.
@libelle15618 күн бұрын
@David-dv2lb oh it wasn't a bad thing, thom was encouraging us to sing. Just doesn't translate well on video. I'm planning to release this with better audio anyway.
