I came to the comments looking for this exact scenario. This biker could also have turned left while continuing to slow down. This biker was NOT paying attention well, especially at low speed. At the first point the car is visible around the bend, the speedometer shows 29. Whether that’s kph, or even mph, this is slow enough to react for safety in this situation. I would say this is not all 100% the cars fault here. Loud pipes DON’T ALWAYS save lives. I bet the loud revving out of no where probably scared the shit out of the driver of that car!

It's called "rev match" before braking. It's a common thing to do when you drive a manual car or motorcycle, you don't have to do it, but it puts less stress on your clutch when you do this. I agree though the biker should've calmed down instead of escalating the situation since now he has to pay for that windshield repair.

It is also possible and more likely that he chose compression braking with the engine first because he was still leaning out of a curve. Hard braking at even a small leaning angle can be disastrous so down shifting before getting upright then braking may have been the better option but it gives the biker less time to actually brake. You can see his right fingers in the video and observe that this is precisely what he did. He did a hard brake after downshifting and getting upright and squaring the forks out of the curve. We must not forget the biker is riding a motorcycle and he can't simply slam on the brakes at any time. Even truckers try not to hard brake on curves because trailer brakes engage .5 seconds after the tractor brakes and in that 1/2 second after the tractor has started braking, the trailer keeps going and can cause a jack knife. I must also emphasize that none of this would have happened if the driver of the car had not turned left from the far right lane. That was the action that caused the event. I think the motorcycle rider did well.

Wrecks probably can't be towed a lot, so its quite possible that they ended up switching over to these trucks that can also be used to carry entire wrecks even for situations where a car is functional enough.

He's a poor rider who likely does that a lot on the road and his instincts are to "get mad & rev the engine" instead of grabbing the brake. And kicking a windshield isn't assault, it's vandalism. I agree he's idiot with an anger problem and should have just braked to avoid the whole thing, but that doesn't make him guilty of the things you named.

The rider did go for the brakes (right foot and right hand), that’s why the engine started revving as he pulled in the clutch (his left hand) but was unable to release the throttle as he was pulling the brake (right hand). This has happened to me many times, and when you are braking hard on a bike to avoid an idiot who isn’t looking (literally happened to me two hours ago), you are locked in to the line you are on and any change of direction puts you on the floor, and potentially underneath the car who already hasn’t seen you

The key to backing up in that situation is doing what no one ever does anymore - USE YOUR TURN SIGNAL (not your hazards). If the guy had signaled left and then angled his vehicle slightly to the right, the following car would've know what he was planning and probably would have stopped quicker/shorter and/or backed up. Putting on your 4-ways makes people think you're going to pull over and that it's okay to pass (when safe) even in a no passing zone (moving past a disabled vehicle). The fact that the clown was racing on coming traffic to back into his driveway and ignored the horn and never even looked behind him just makes him even more stupid.
