That Eddie Stobart 44 tonner stop was amazing. It stopped (in perfect conditions) in one-and-a-half times it's own length. I do believe these have the automatic detectors that will automatically brake for an obstruction - either way it was an amazing stop.

@@neuralwarp Blocking an emergency vehicle is mostly just an infraction, in my country they get a fine and either 9 or 12 points on their license. 12 points is license revokation with a temporary suspension depending on their record.

Brits often have a lot of practice driving on the right, but Europeans have very little chance to experience driving on the left. Most of these problems happen around seaports. I have been the victim of it, with the non-British (not naming the nationality for P.C. KZbin reasons) driver attempting to giving me false details. By law we must call the police following an incident, although they may decide not to come if no-one is hurt. I was advised by one policeman that if an foreign vehicle is involved, always tell the police in your call you think you can smell alcohol. That way the police are obliged to come to the scene to take details. This protects you in the event the details are false.

The impatient woman ended up in a ditch on the side of the road while everyone laughed at her while they passed by....

At 3:50, with the unmarked car incident. I have to say from the very beginning the car in the right lane had their turn signal on, was actually in front of the cop for a moment, that with just a little patience and courtesy on the part of the cop/public servant, traffic could have flowed much safer with his professional act. BUT NO! he had to exercise his POWER over the lowly civilian! Not let him in then add a violation on top of it all?!! Pig move!

When you are in a right turn lane, you turn right. And just because his car was very slightly ahead of the police car when he turned on his indicators, doesn’t mean that the policeman actually saw the light. However, the car BEHIND the police unmarked has plenty of view on the indicator light and could have left room for the offender IF THE OFFENDER had slowed down. As he should have done.
