Nobody can understand the deep love bond that mushers and their dogs have. So tragic. And the driver claimed he was so drunk he doesn't remember any of it (blackout). What a mess.

Jeff, I feel so hurt for you and Aliy; you for your loss, and Aliy because she went through two hours of knowing she was a target. Alcohol does not explain this vicious attack. The only drug I am familiar with that results in this vicious behavior is Meth. If the perpetrator was not under the influence of Meth, he did nor have a conscience in the first place. Either way he should be behind bars for a ling time, this is not an easy fix. He will harm more, and very likely people, physically and emotionally. He needs to be corrected before it escalates to cause more damage to the village of Nulato, or anyone else.

So, as seen here (www.cbc.ca/news/world/iditarod-snowmobile-race-dog-1.3489380), it was Arnold Demoski who hit the sled teams. You can plainly see a banner with the names Peter, Janice, & Richard Demoski over Jeff King's right shoulder in the video above. On a casual look-up of those names, the first hit for Peter Demoski was a death notice (www.legacy.com/obituaries/newsminer/obituary.aspx?n=peter-joseph-wayne-demoski&pid=140442437) of a boy who died in a snowmachine accident who had wanted to be a dog racer. While the article was published in Fairbanks, the father listed is a prominent community leader in Nulato, so it's conceivable Arnold and Peter 'Curtis' are relatives. Ironic and sad.

This DISGUSTS me! Arnold is PHSYCOTIC thru and thru! If anyone thinks his actions should be made light of due to his supposedly being Drunk well if he was soo drunk to have acted in the way he did & it's so out of his character then he wouldve been too drunk to hit a single thing especially when it's wide open territory, he was able to hit his target he knew what he was doing and should have been removed from the population LONG ago!!! he was so wasted he didn't remember any of it the next morning and he heard all of this on the news, went out to check his snowmobile and discovered that he did it, so he turned himself in. poor baby that he killed.. rip
