Thank you so much for this entire series, and for making interesting and entertaining content about Idle Champions in general. I've loved this entire series and I was eagerly anticipating the final episode (as luck would have it, I happened to check just in case barely 1 hour after you uploaded it ^^). You're obviously very knowledgeable about this game, but much more importantly, you have a knack for explaining what any given skill or specialization does in a clear, practical way. That's invaluable for a new player like me, because man, so many of these skills have walls upon walls of text linked together in such complex ways it can be very offputting to even try making sense of it. Last but not least, you do have an incredibly soothing, pleasant voice and you put a lot of life into your commentary and reviews (the way you speak reminds me of Nathan Fillion, although you have different timbers, but both very nice; seriously, you could make a living recording audio books or something ^^). As a crucial aside, which I guess I'll classify as Neutral since it has both Good and Evil implications: you're literally the only Idle Champions content creator active on KZbin (there are other channels with a few videos but they're all mediocre and/or long obsolete stuff from two or three years ago). I don't count the official CNE channel and the replays of their affiliated Twitch streamers in this category, even though of course there's a lot of stuff I learned and can still learn from the likes of Garrawar, but... well, I honestly prefer reading his written guides to sitting through the kind of two-hour sleeping pills in video format they churn out with him. And you're literally the only independent active voice on YT at least (not that working for or being sponsorred by CNE keeps others from giving good info and advice, but they're not quite as free in how they can present things, especially criticism). I wish there were at least a few other folks making good content about Idle Champions besides you. You'd likely still be my favorite, but I wouldn't be starved for content in between your videos. ^^ PS: I get what you're going for with your Tyredactyls catch phrase, but honestly "have a hell of a time out there, champions" with your voice was a perfect catch phrase, as simple as it might have sounded. I kind of miss it. Anyway. Thanks again and please don't give up the awesome work!

That's a whole lot of compliments for a self-deprecating cynical pessimist like me, but I do greatly appreciate it! That is one reason I did shift to maintaining coverage on this game for a while before I branch out and do more outside of it, because people seemed to respond to it for that reason when I did the Overview. Getting more views than my old content is nice, sure, but like you said, there really didn't seem to but much content on it other than their main channel. I do think the game could benefit more from others expressing their own views on this platform for sure. I'm not sure if the Tyredactyls will stick or not, but I wanted to try it. Before Idle Champions I would always do something relevant to the game I was covering, and I felt like it might be getting too repetitive, but it might come back ;)

I did a double-take when I saw your Azaka farm, because apart from Rust and Nrakk who I don't have but are on my to-do list (instead I use Bruenor and Corazon, mostly to give Valentine a couple more Life of Leisure stacks), everyone there is basically who I use. Saved my life in Decent into Avernus because I couldn't really favor push normally because every adventure past the second one has armored stuff. Egbert was what really made Click/Debuff+Azaka Farming worth it for me. Beforehand I wouldn't get enough gold from the Azaka Farm once I hit my Clicking wall to proceed, but swapping an ungeared Egbert out for Freely changed that real quick. Definitely curious to see where he ranks on the tier list at some point in the future. I'm also curious about Kent; he seems solid for Asharra mains like myself, since he counts as Potpourri; and being DPS+Positional Support means he has Artemis potential. The problem is, similar to Dob being kneecapped by sharing a seat with Azaka, Kent shares his seat with Baeloth, so you'd probably have to get your Tokens of the Departed buff pretty high for it to be worth that trade.

Rust is very much a good addition to a gold farm. Nrakk has many uses there and outside of gold as well. Good goals to have, especially if you're gunning that sweet gold. I haven't been able to have too much time with Kent yet due to editing this and life in general, but what I can say is he is absolutely a good pick for Artemis.

Thanks for knocking out the seat tier list. Would like to see a "Time Gate Priorities" for New and Mid game players (assuming end game have all champs). Maybe a "Meta" series with your go-to Speed Team, Click-Debuff, Patron lineups, Artemis DPS etc. Additionally a Season 1 "what you can accomplish with the HoA".

It's always hard because it really does depend on the individual's goals and circumstance for what they would prioritize in a Time Gate. But I do intend to cover specific formations in the near future.

I used Vi for a long time since she was the first new champ that came out when I started playing. She also slotted into ashara really well with being short and buffing neutral Champs. Being an artificer helped a lot with a lesson in classes. Haven't used her in a while but really like her. Seat 12 have 2 really great champions, maybe 3, and a lot of cool designs with not great numbers

Yay! Thanks for these Tyredack. I keep coming back to watch them as I unlock new champions to get a better idea on their kits. Just got Reya and her buff actually outranks some of the other buffs I can make and I like how it works. Works well with my DPS since he's Lawful, so overall know I get that buff going right now. I started at the beginning of seasons so I use most of the HoA team.

I'm thinking the plan to do one cohesive list of everyone, only doing a breakdown/overview for those I've missed along the way, then using that cohesive list for any future placements. I have been busy, so I haven't been able to tinker with Kent too much yet. He's undeniably a really good support for Artemis. As far as his own personal DPS, time for me to farm up his Tokens then give him a test.

As a player who started a couple of months ago I stumbled onto your videos about a month ago, they have been a god-sent for me as a new player. I would love for you to cover a few more guides I know Gaarawarr has covered but I dont care for the 200 minute videos that ideally could be condensed to 20-30 minutes like yours. I wont lie I was REALLY anticipating your seat 11 and 12 lists and was wondering when they would come out. I just want to say a massive thank you for taking the time to do all this, its been an amazing learning tool. Ideas for a few videos tailored towards new/early players would be great. -modron cores -what order to open chests in **I listed to another new player and opened all my Gold chests first :( To save the silvers to help push with the run gold you get ...... :( ** -Blessings -Patrons and how to unlock them quickly (tie in with gearing up players maybe) -Unlocking champions and when/how. Story and time-gates with spoiler alerts -If you plan to invest with real life money what to prioritize first / tier list -Tiamat, Trials of mount Tiamat -How to scale bud damage for pushing. -Good basic formations for a starter. -Gold run champs -Best in slot for each seat (recap) I know you have covered a few of these topics along the way in the series but I think even some shorter videos around 10 minutes on each one, once a week would be AMAZING! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR EFFORT ITS APPRECIATED AND MADE ME ENJOY THE GAME A LOT MORE!!!!

Since Krond and Artemis failed their charisma role with me, Zorbu is the best DD I'm allowed to use, which also increases Solaak's tier ranking with me. Though for the longest time he and the other farmable permanent bonus holders were banished to a farming only party.

A small note on Nerys, he's Krond viable and has decent availability making him useful in some Krond formations. It's not much and you'd normally want to avoid him but if you're using Krond as your main DPS you'd be surprised how often you find yourself using Nerys in your formation due to lack of better options that fit Krond's criteria.

Very true! Though between Melf and Selise also in that seat at 16+ Strength they are usually going to be the better pick. Options are never a bad thing, though, especially for something like A Lesson in Classes.

@@tyredack Melf is always running in my speed formation farming gems in mad wizard so he's out and yeah for multi-tank formations I often use Selise as the second tank alongside Briv but I'm finding myself using Blooshi more and more for that task as her bonuses to become pretty insane, though she does have some anti-synergy with Briv as her taunt overpowers his which in turn greatly reduces Briv's healing output. Typically for me it's the question of choosing between Nerys and Grim(not Beadle) or Warden and I find that in background parties debuffs simply don't work nearly as well as buffs(if at all) so I end up using Nerys quite often in my Krond formations simply for a lack of a better alternative in a relevant slot. Yeah she's still pretty bad and in desperate need of a rework, after the Dark Order hopefully gets the seasonal treatment ASAP, but she at least has her place to shine, if you can call it that, in Krond formations which just might be high enough to push her from F tier to D.

Dob and Rust are my boys. I got them almost at the same time. When I did my gold finding went from shit to finally decent.

They are a good boost for sure, and a prime duo to pair with Merilwen down the road.

I used to run Zorbu a lot, but Dob's buff is just too good to pass up while there are other DPS that can get similar numbers to Zorbu, like Catti-Brie, and that was even before Dob came in. Dob's introduction allowed me to start pushing 150 - 200 areas further in without having to resort to a click team or use Artimis (gross).

Zorbu really excels once you've farmed him and up pair him with debuffers, but Dob is certainly and excellent buffer!

Absolutely love this series and watch the older episodes every time I get a new champion. Question about your gold find formation. Ellywick is Chaotic so is pulling down your Egbert's atonement pool which in turn reduces his gold find. Does Ellywick's kit boost past this or would there be a better character to put in this slot? Also, Omin? Using non adjacent so Jarlaxle is boosted as your DPS?

Much appreciated, glad you enjoy them. As far as Elly goes, she is still worth it. The only other real option for Egbert in this case would be to replace Elly with Drizzt, and even if he's getting Nrakk boosted his gold find doesn't hold a candle to Elly's multiplier vs. what Egbert gains by going from 7 to 9 Atonement Points with Drizzt. For example, with my ilvls and Drizzt being Nrakk'd, he'd be at 1,857% and Egg would be 6.94e5% going from 7 to 9 with Drizzt slotted, whereas with Elly even with her bad draw in the video at 1.57e5% vs Egg at at 7 with 5.39e5%.

@@tyredack Thanks. Just threw this formation in instead of my chaotic Oxventurers formation and that pushed me up to around e68 gold find. I tried it with Dob instead of Azaka and found it slightly better because Dob gives Valentine another positional ability and his offshore accounting can build if done early enough. Not sure if that wrecks the atonement pool though.

Once his Offshore is stacked up a bit he's certainly liable to be higher, especially if you have him Nrakk'd. Egg's boost with Oxventuer Capitalism levels out the loss with Atonement for Golden Scales. But, at the end of the day this formation was designed to farm at a wall with Azaka, so it will only push as a progression formation so hard.

@@tyredack I mean the tokens of the departed which keeps a soul trinket on every capmpaigns boss, so if I defeated those levels already without kent doesnt that mean I cant get his tokens up as I want to or this applys to just a campaign and freeplay will count as well. thank you very much for the anwser)

It simply requires him to be present for a highest level boss kill period. It can be any adventure within the campaign, freeplay included, and you could have already killed the boss. I tried that on my first run I had him - I pushed to my wall on a freeplay and swapped him in for a boss I had already killed, and he got credit.

Now that I have Rust I have to ask: How do you get his One Gold Piece buff to stick? Every time I have him pick it up in an earlier level before removing him from the formation, when I call up my saved Gold Find formation at my wall, it's gone despite sticking when I removed and replaced him in the earlier level. (Yes I spec Rust Reloaded so he isn't dropping it from an attack.)

The only thing I can think of is that means he must be dropping it from his ultimate attack. Just make sure he isn't using his ult and you should be good.

Whoa, holy shit, not only did I miss this when it came out, I completely forgot to leave a comment so I forgot it a second time. I'm so sorry! Let me rectify that right now. I've been really enjoying Dob. I'm really bad at figuring out raw numbers but he always seems to be one of my biggest buffers, and for having so many pieces he's a pretty "set him and forget him" champion. Plus, he's our third half-orc in what, five years? Poor orcs. Nerys has got to be the first time I was like, legitimately surprised by a ranking. i didn't know she was so bad! I've been using her so much on my Krond team. I guess, like I said, I'm just really bad at figuring out raw numbers and I never noticed her numbers were bad. I just figured, okay, she's taking my best damage dealer, who is Krond, and giving him more damage based on how much damage he's already doing, so that's just a big boost. I wonder if maybe I should be using Melf instead...you know I never sat down and looked up what the "meta" Krond team is, I've just been sort of guessing based on who I like and who fits his pretty narrow restrictions. I figured since each seat only has, at most, two or three options for him, it wouldn't be too hard. I guess it's hard! Shout out to Penelope, who I believe I already told my story about back during seat 6 with Dungeon Master and how I keep getting shocked that she's as old as I am. I remember I used to think she was bad (but I still used her in Asharra formations), and then suddenly everyone started talking about using her, so now I guess she's good. I was probably mistaken. She's just so much fun tbh. Selise isn't as complicated as she seems but every time I get to her specs mid-game I get decision paralysis. I think by default I always go for both right specs, so that's Reflective Shield and Mythral Skin. And then there's Zorbu. Classic, reliable Zorbu. Probably one of the best characters in the game, not because he's strong, but because he's so varied. He's a good DPS but he's also a great support. I know that Artemis teams could really use Arkhan as a tank that also bounces abilities, but I struggle so hard to build Artemis teams without lovable Zorbu. He's a character I'd love to get more lore about because so many of his items and feats tell a typical but interesting story for a ranger. I'm also constantly shocked by how low his INT is for being a steampunk gnome. You'd think he'd work well with Dhadius! But I guess DEX, WIS, and CON sucked up too many of his good stats. Congratulations on getting through the whole roster! While a video series like this will inevitably become outdated as new updates change and alter champions as we've seen them do even as this series has been going on, it's always nice to have an easy to digest new player friendly source of information so people can learn how the game works so they have a platform to make their own decisions with. Thank you for all the work you've put into this series! It's been completely enjoyable, very fun, and educational as well. You're good in my book.

Well, l I'm glad you ended up here either way! I have a soft spot for Half-Orcs as well, would be nice to get a few more fluffing up the roster. Nerys is one I really wanted to be good when I first got her a long time ago because I always liked her design both in general and mechanically. About the only validity she has *is* with Krond, so there's that at least. With a feat she's got all Patron availability, but if you want a Seat 12 Selise and Melf cover that ground and will generally be better. And yeah, you cover it with Zorbu. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the series, and always appreciated the comments along the way!

Vi really needs a rework. Her speed... I don't even know if it does anything at all. According to the devs - it reduces the time between the first enemy in a pack spawning and the 2nd and maybe 3rd and maybe 4th spawning - depending on the size of the pack spawning (2-4). But I tried Vi when she came out and the difference between using her and not using her wasn't noticeable in the slightest. (Then again I didn't give her a lot of ilvls) She definitely doesn't work like Widdle - who reduces the time it takes for enemies to move from the spawn position off-screen to being on-screen and attackable - and that makes a lot of difference since it caps at 1 frame. But yeah - she's just very average - and in too competitive a slot to be a consideration.

I've always felt like I could tell a difference, albeit small, but I know what you mean (probably just placebo on my end lol). Oddly I honestly feel like she's better off not being Speed anyway, it always felt weird she was competing with Melf. Give her another means of scaling A Good Example instead I say.

It really depends on if you've heavily invested in Freely or not. Plenty of people already have, and for them he's probably still on top. I went over it a bit here, but I will likely be doing videos on specific formation in the future so will probably go more in-depth there.

Her ult to drop gold is cool, but why the hell is she needed when I can just go back a couple of areas, use a fire breath potion and get more gold?

Because running the "Azaka Farm" will still get you more gold than that. Just having up-front gold buffers instantly killing something isn't as good as setting up the scenario of getting all of those gold debuffs up and using Azaka's ultimate. It is objectively the best gold farming you can do. Straight up. If you don't like it or don't want to do it, sure, she won't be useful. But, best is best.
