(The Cree Clan Mothers/ Warrior Women's') "compassion was so powerful, they could look far in the generations."The leader of these nine women was "stubborn, determined, courageous...If they’re going to make changes in the Indian Act, they have to put our Laws back into it. "Women have Authority and jurisdiction over the laws and the land,"so the treaties weren’t legal."Land, language and culture" has a nation's sense of self and identity."“It’s meant for you to hear this information, to be here.”

It doesn't take long to squander a few hundred thousand dollars. I want one of the Attawapiskat band council to explain how $90 000 000 can be spent in three years, while dozens of their own people continue to live in squalid conditions. It's not the federal government that the natives should be angry with, but their own corrupt, or at least incompetent leaders.

Exactly. Yet, natives think it's perfectly fine for them to get billions of dollars of tax payer money and not have to pay a cent to the government on their reserves. How about they stop asking for money and live their life on their reserves. We won't ask them for money, and they don't ask us for anything. If they wish to contribute to society and live with the rest of us; they are equal. They get equal treatment, pay the same taxes, and get the same benefits as any Canadian. It's that simple.

Sadly, these dependant natives are now the norm in Canada, Australia, and the US. I would love for them to answer me this: Nobody is still alive from the early settler days. Why are we still paying them these "reparations"? These people were never harmed by anyone alive today. We were all born on equal footing. I wasn't even born in Canada, and yet I have successfully adapted into society, and I'm proud to call this my country. Then again, this is a group that thinks we should all live in igloos

Sooo, Ms Spence...Where did the $93 000 000 go? Do you need more? If not, my community could sure use some. Not 93 000 000 though. That would be just greedy.

Sylvia should come and learn from the Haudenosaunee. We never lost that way. The women have always been the boss. Our clan mothers have been the leaders for hundreds of years. They can show her how not to take any shit from those Cree cavemen. Bout tome they listin to a woman and stop messing this up.

I'm not a "wannabe Anglo-Saxan." English is a universal language, and that is a blatant fact. Don't you find it ironic that your very people (ie "first nations") would not have been able to communicate with each other and aggregate in a cesspool of regression had it not been for English? Your ancestors would be ashamed of today's welfare dependant, alcoholic native. Shame; natives were a creative society, apt at adapting to the harshest climates. They would welcome progression with open arms.

Oh yeah, that's right...a new stadium and a $70 000 Zamboni instead of new housing. You see that's the problem. Native communities can squander all the money on whatever they want, and when the moneys all gone just run too the feds for more. Very fiscally responsible, I must say.

WHAT? I never once said they deserve genocide! I am 100% anti violence, so to even attempt to play that off as something I genuinely said is absurd. Either you have an apprehension issue, or you're attempting to defame me. I'll place my money on the latter. I never once said that natives should stop using technology either! I think they should reinvent themselves. Who knows, in the future, natives might be the "genius scientists" of the world.
