Chitra my mother used to first soak the Black thil in water then she will 'Sodhithu ' yeduppa. There will be fine stones below the karupellu, then dry Pan she will put the thil fry padapada vedikkum, she will transfer to a plate. After grinding the Melakaipodi she will add the thil, oru suthu suthi yedukkanum. I don't know many use measurements, but we use Kannalavu. Ofcourse newly cooking people may find difficulty. But me too same like my mother Kannalavuthan. Thank you

Greetings , of course the temptation to know the recipe ‘s what invites me to this page. But, what holds me to it is Kamala Mami with Madisar . Feel so much at home. How much I miss my mom & elders of my family who’s left us & proceeded to the supreme ! No words to say. Would appreciate more authentic recipes but with nice slokams in the background & Mami in Madisar pls !!! Chitra Mam also in sari conventionally dressed pls. 50g Dry red chillies 150g Channa dhal 150g Urid dhal 75g Black sesame seeds 3 Pcs Hing 1 tsp Sugar Salt according to hotness of chillies (If long dried chillies use less salt. If it is short and round chillies use more) Roast it separately using a teaspoon of oil for each ingredients except for black sesame seeds which should be roasted dry. Let it cool and grind it to a coarse powder.

...Here it is: Udad dal ..150 gm Chana dal...150 gm Dry red chillies...50 gm Solid hing..2 or 3 small pieces Black sesame seeds...75 gm Salt..as per taste Sugar...2 tsp Add a tsp of sesame oil, roast hing n chillies, keep aside. Add a tsp of sesame oil, roast the 2 dals separately. Roast the sesame seeds separately. Let all the ingredients cool down, coarse grind all the above except sesame seeds n sugar. Now add sesame seeds, just give one or two pulse mode grind and add sugar, give another pulse. Store n use I hope this helps😊
Chithra in made idli podi today it came out very well but because of black ell colour of podi is brownish and not red I generally like red molagapodi I am planning to add some more red chilli and see but it smells so good
