Humm, would it be a better idea for a newbie to check the phone for full functionality before doing the adhesive seal? It's an extra step, but I sure would hate to seal that puppy up just to find out something was loose OR worse the screen you tried to install was defective.

Fixed twice in 6 months. Both times working perfectly. True colours are gone as I do not have the creen data reader but not a problem. Great video. Thank you

Where did you buy the new screen?

I have to say of all the tutorials I’ve watched for renewing an SE 2020 screen this is the best and probably the most reliable Method! I followed it all the way and have a perfectly working iPhone SE… happy days 🥳
@VivekKesiraju11 күн бұрын
I did it, I was able to fix my SE 2020 and somehow true tone was still there even though I didn't do anything like the reader. GREAT VID!!

Thank you very much for the video! I bought a screen from Amazon and realized almost in the end that I had to transport that big shield from the old screen to the new one. Luckily it was the last operation before closing the iPhone so I hadn’t to go backwards in any operation. Your video is the most detailed for the SE2, you saved me! 😅
@williammchugh43613 күн бұрын
Worked like a charm. I did test everything on the phone before adding that gasket, even though I had to reconnect the screen again. hardest part for me was actually replacing that sensor package at the top. The home button wasn't as difficult. I also replaced the battery. A heat gun is your friend, especially with that battery adhesive.

Another happy viewer - you successfully walked me through replacing my girlfriend's screen. Snazzy!! :-) Thank you!!!!
@TwoSnailTom6 ай бұрын
This video was incredibly helpful! The one thing i had to do with the replacement screen I purchased was to change the metal backplate, which was easy enough (6 screws and a bit of heat gun to lift off the ribbon cables) Really appreciate the thorough and easy-to-follow video. Also like the nice calming lowfi in the background especially when it can feel like you're defusing a nuclear bomb with these paper thin ribbon cables.. cheers!

thank you it worked but i wish you would have included the part of reinstalling the sheild. I didn't need to know because I had already done it on a iphone 7 but it would be really helpful

good video. I like your pacing especially with reiterating the role of screws of different lengths when reassembling the shield in the middle area. I wish you talked about the ex cable breaking. mine was in half

Are there any SE OLED screen replacements? I’d rather replace something like a 13 mini with LCD but I hear it still has PWM, trying to get some sort of newer feeling phone

11:00 confused as to why would you put the blue film then immediately take it off ?
@madstilst2 ай бұрын
Try watching again from 10.30 to 11.20. The adhesive is only a narrow black adhesive tape on the edge of the blue film. It is left in place when the film is removed.

What IPhone SE (2nd gen) repair kit do you recommend? Lots of fake reviews on Amazon, so feedback from a real expert would be amazing. My budget is anything under $50
@rrrealno2 ай бұрын
a cheap set for 2$ will do :), most important thing is that it has A pentalobe, philips and tri-wing screwdrivers :)

Thank you so much! I gotta get one of those screen calibrating devices. You earned a subscription easy. So happy i still have my heat gun from painting my apartment and tweezers from my soldering kit!! I probably would've broken the home button. My only critique is that you didn't say "Bob's your uncle" Cheers
@rrrealno2 ай бұрын
I know you might not see it, but in the new ios update, true tone will be restored for aftermarket screens even without calibrating

The screw over the home button is actually different size but it's only by .1, the other screws are 1.3mm while the one over the home button is 1.2 mm. It could possibly ruin your home button using the wrong screw.
