Honestly sad to see how Giselle is misjudged in general K-pop community. From people saying she had connection in SME despite the fact she's admitted she got rejected 3 times before training, to getting reputation of "lazy" idol at some point even though Karina said she practices a lot and Giselle literally shared her dance practices outside of Aespa's schedule and recently Giselle admitted she had/has poor health condition in their upcoming movie and we could tell that by her hiatuses. It's nice to see that she's never losing motivation.

Giselle has so much potential. Why isn't SM making use of it? Her rapping skills has swagger, flow and a bite to it, so sad it's not being utilize fully. If there are representative colors in Aespa, Giselle's would be black - mysterious, chill, determined, and resilient. She's quite a fashionista and a visual, too like her members. Her impeccable English made her relatable to international audience. And she can nail really good facial expressions. I love watching her TikToks with fellow members.

Giselle pre debut background is really interesting for me since from day one they debuted. Where can you find idol from the past and today got a background as choir member in pre debut days who used to compete in choir competition overseas, part of Vocal Ensemble who actually won gold and school place 2nd overall in International Choir Competition in Netherlands back in 2019 and at the same time active in theatrical play. Her pre debut activities sold me to her as the most musically inclined member of Aespa and artist in SM. Too bad SM would rather die than giving her opportunities to sing, rap or compose in her career. Such a wasted talent.

I fully blame SM for the misjudgement and underestimation of Giselle. My favourite rap piece of hers is the one she wrote by herself for her synk video, both her and Karina always talk about wanting to write lyrics, Giselle in particular talked about her interest in music making but the company isn't giving them the chance to explore and learn, unfortunately that's just how SM operates. They are starting to loosen up a bit by allowing them to take part in writing their solo songs now but I really hope we get to see more in the future.

I'm honestly glad that she took time to finish school before going for the dream. She probably is the only member who experienced a much freer life growing up and not tied up to a dream early on. Like she got the time in school to explore her craft and what she trully likes. And that is actually the most relatable part of growing up, exploring. That's why we see her as like a friend and maybe that's why she continues to allow us to see her outside of that limelight through her vlogs. I mean, her vlogs seems like how ordinary people filmed their day. She wanted us to have a glimpse of what she trully is without the fancy stuff. Her honesty and her raw emotions are what I admired the most. She acknowledges her setbacks and continues to be better at them. For me, her growth has been the most evident in all of the newer idols. Her choosing to be better means she loves what she does. I hope people will stop denying the massive growth she has and start looking deeper onto her. Coz she's more than what most people perceived her.
