Even though it's a bad move, I still kind of admire Ben's decision. Him making it to final tribal in HHH was considered suspiciously lucky, so this feels like a course correction on his part. Like an acknowledgement that, even though he's a good player, he maybe shouldn't get to the end twice.

Definitely. While it's certainly a frustrating end to the season and grinds the WAW finale to a halt, I do ultimately admire Ben's decision to put his own mental well-being first. Hopefully that sentiment came across in the video!

I also like the way it completes his 2 season arc from HHH to WAW - on HHH, his biggest downfall was not connecting socially with the others so they would want to take him to the end. Then he’s headed to the end on WAW but has built such a strong relationship with Sarah that he sacrifices himself for her, and ends on a positive social note with the others.

When there's a much smaller prize than $1,000,000 at the end, people are less willing to tough it out and endure the elements for so long, so many more people on foreign versions are happy to fall on the sword and take their stipend and run.

Cirie first then her. that tribe is not gonna vote out Amanda or Erik because they were the only physically fit people on that tribe. so Chet staying would’ve gained her like 3 extra spots and maybe 3,000 more dollars. y’all need to stop thinking so narrow-mindedly.

Amy, Tracy, and Eric actually didn’t need Chet’s vote to blindside Ozzy. They could’ve just told him they’d vote him off so he sticks it out until tribal, vote for Ozzy, creating a 3-3-1 tie. There’s a revote where Ozzy and Chet can’t vote, and Ozzy then goes 3-2.

I have a tone of respect for Jeff Wilson, although he was one of the most obscure and forgotten players ever. He was a nice young guy with alot of leadership potential (although he never took the leadership role), and seem innocent and wholesome. And it was very admirable for him to take the bullet and ask to get voted out, considering Palau challenges were very physical so his injury would probably make him a liability

For those who don't know, Jolanda recounts on RHAP that at Ponderosa two white Male contestants in their twenties got into a very racially charged argument with her and tried to attack her over the pool table. Thus their post-jury trip was divided into three groups. Other pre-jurors also acknowledge that a big something argument took place during their Ponderosa stint, though many had no personal involvement or details. Presuming she's telling the truth (which I already know some of you will "question") that narrows it down to Jeff and Jonathan. James is noticeably thirty-something and Bobby Jon joined on the day of departure after the fight

Mitchell doesn’t really count here. It’s been confirmed that Tina asked him, on the way to tribal, to vote a certain way and align with her. When he declined the alliance, Tina opted to turn the target to Mitchell, effectively saving Colby.

In Nicaragua, I remember being so mad at Marty, because my family was rooting for Jimmy Johnson, and the edit made it out that Marty was this power-hungry dictator who shoved Jimmy J out the door. Years later when I found out that Jimmy J quit, I was so disappointed - though in my rewatch of Nicaragua, it has endeared me to Marty, who definitely deserved to come back for a returning player season.

The most intersting thing about Jenna asking to be voted out was matter that she knew that she was out of energy and would not had made it to the end. She knew Heidi was in a better state physically and mentally. The reson of her trying to quit was to give Heidi a better chance and was more possible was able to get to final 2. However, all of the 3 men left underestimated her, that came up to bite them and actually won. I wonder what would had happend if they kept Heidi instead?

What about Steve Wright in Survivor Redemption Island? Jeff Probst speculated that Steve had purposefully lost the Redemption island duel against Mike Chiesi, Matt Elrod, and Ralph Kiser because he was done with the game. Even when I watched it, it looked like Steve wasn't even trying.

@@just_quinning You're right. I agree. There are good reasons to leave. Like the ones you mentioned. But Sandra quit because she just didn't want to be there anymore. The weather was getting to her, the challenges were taking a toll and she just didn't want to play the social game anymore. She gave up and went home. It wasn't because she was sick. It wasn't because a family member was sick. She simply threw in the town and said "I don't want to so I'm not going to." and then left.
