Aloha! Is there anyway you guys could make a video about pulling shots using this idromatic on a spirit? Same espresso ratio, but different settings for idromatic. Explain hows the taste, volumn different? Please? We have a 3 grouphead spirit with idromatic system but im not sure if we are using it properly or if we are using its potential. Thank you very much guys!

To my understanding after the extraction the pressure will have a declining profile as the spring unloads itself?

What’s the maximum length of pre-infusion? Can the machine handle Turkish grinds?

Hi Laurence! The length of the pre-infusion completely depends on what type of coffee is used, how much and what grinds. We don't know too much about Turkish grinds, the traditional method would be best I suppose, but if you tweak it a bit to make it suitable for an espresso machine I don't think there should be a problem. We've never tried it before, but if you have tried to brew Turkish grinds on an espresso machine and it worked, it should work with the Spirit as well. With the Idro-Matic you can manually change the pre-infusion and you can also play with different pump pressures and temperatures, so you have many options to create your best "espresso".
