iirc the Puppet Master comment was during the filming of the Sam Hyde + idubbbz documentary, but said off-camera. During the Brandon Buckingham interview after the first Creator Clash, Sam recalled that it was around the time they were shooting guns (after the contentious one-on-one interview). Ian was holed up in his car pouting, and he then told one of Sam's crew members the infamous "Usually I'm the puppet master in these situations" comment

During the time of the documentary, Sam Hyde was being friendly.
