this review makes neverland seems an okay game. it's not. --there's 5 elements, 4 elements with the standard "weak/strong against" mechanics, and the holy element. holy element trumps over all. it is one element to rule them all. to effectively acquire these holy element fairy, you gotta pay. and you need multiple copies of them if you want to increase their level cap. --to unlock the autoplay for some of life skills (fishing), you need to purchase a mount. first mount limited time deal for $1 is the cheapest way you can get it. missed it? too bad. you need to gacha for mount for $$$. The rest of the game is already on autoplay (quest, battle, etc) --to auto collect mats in your home, you need to buy monthly crystal deals (kinda like welkyn in genshin). otherwise you gotta do it manually. it is tedious, boring, and time consuming if done one by one. --lots of mandatory pvp daily content, but only a few of them are balanced. the rest are insta-win for the whale. --new server opens every few weeks, with older ones merged with older server to keep it populated. this would also mean that the older server's dedicated players will surpass you after the merge, severely ruining the balance of power in your server. --the numbers of daily contents you need to do increase as you leveled up. some content are accessible 24 hours a day, some, such as guild content, only opens at a specific time. if you enter a competitive guild, get ready to be kicked out of the guild for being absent from those contents once. --the story is nonsense. the quest is nonsense. the presentation is cheap. the combat has no impact. the visual and combat animation is the only thing going for it. the story is presented (mostly) in visual novel style, and half of the game is not even voiced. --the level is capped per server and the cap increase everyday or every few days at higher level. --this is one of those game that really demands your time, otherwise you'll be left behind, even if you just took a break for one day. And you need to play a few hours a day to keep up. DO NOT play this game, even if you're whaling. since any server you play will become empty very fast.

To be fair, neverland has scratched an itch for me since having a child. I don't have the time to boot up the PC and play other MMOs
@MootPotato3 ай бұрын
Neverland checks every single box on the p2w spectrum, and still manages to innovate new ways to add more boxes to their list of monetization sins. They have guild auction house where you bid premium currency on the rewards your guild earns for doing guild raid bosses, and you have to outbid your guild members to get the items. Your level exp is capped every day so you can only progress so much each day, and your only source of exp comes from a ridiculous, repetitive daily task. The entire world becomes very dull once you see it for what it really is. It's an expensive dress-up whale-eat-krill simulator

curse of aros is actually pretty good when you're playing with others, which is so easy to do because of one servwr averaging around 200 players. Almost all of them actually trades on the lobby, I played it and I traded with the players so much. Trading is a big part of Curse of Aros that being a lone wolf (mode that trading is perma disabled) is actaully a thing and is hard to do.

lowkey wanna see ur reaction to a game called ashtale: tales of wind. its japanese, not translated, and barely has an online wiki, but ive been playing it over two years. it was the first mmorpg i ever played so maybe thats why i keep at it, but i think its a pretty neat game. theres a lot of players, tons of events, and they even collab w big names like sanrio. there is an autoplay feature, but in the harder dungeons, the ai sucks so bad that its just better to play yourself. which isnt hard at all, its honestly nice that the game kinda forces you to ACTUALLY play and focus on what to do. my only real gripe w the game is that to be powerful, as in be able to kill the rlly high lvl monsters, you have to invest a whole bunch of money or time. which isnt exactly easy for most ppl, me included. so i find myself barely, if at all, surviving some of the late game stuff. not like reviewing a game will need you to get to late game, but still. maybe i just suck at mmorpgs but its still a really fun game despite the challenges. anyways, just thought it'd be cool to just mention it in case u have any plans of makin another vid, or a vid centered on non translated games. ps. the game isnt that hard to play despite it being untranslated. its mostly just click here, go there, kill this. i usually use autoplay for the quests bc, well, i cant read japanese, so i never really know where to go. but when a fight starts, i do it myself. keep up the good work brother

The way I use free-to-play games is to leverage waiting times to get small tasks done. There is an untapped market here somewhere for very LIGHTLY gamifying "productivity" THROUGH this mechanism. Not anything as involved as Habitica - I just want to be able to write in "take pills" and "clean shower" and have that show as my "ongoing task" when I am waiting for another quest or whatever. I can't be the only person who wants this. For a perfect game that serves this purpose, I would be entirely willing to pay a small monthly subscription (though it should be useable for free, just with less customizability).

I think being unable to figure out basic systems is what happens when you swap back to back to new games that all require you to immerse yourself heavily and learn the world in order to fully experience rewarding the people who dedicate that time/effort to it. The wow add on part was really highlighting that. If a game that holds your hand as much as wow isn't very good at explaining everything to the player via quest dialogue, then I can only imagine you playing anything less safe and conformed to the industry standard.

I have generally mixed feelings about Neverland due to its early game. I did actually enjoy the game, and the main reason I kept pushing past the initial start was the idea of multiclassing. The game is not designed with auto play in mind once you’ve unlocked that. If you want to do a full rotation auto will not perform the swap in order to complete that rotation. It becomes an actual game, and the actual game is pretty fun. Even if some aspects are bare bones My biggest critique of the game comes from lack of skill variety in each class. I feel like all they need to do is add 2 more skills per class and it’d round everything out perfectly. The game is on the verge of having interesting builds and skill expression, but it just barely missed the mark. I enjoyed the game enough where the microtransactions were actually tempting, and that actually kind of annoyed me. Especially since the fairies come with their own active skills. Which means your build variety is inherently tied to gambling…what the fuck

I played Warspear for several hours in the past and can confirm, it's a fun game. Well... Was at least for one year playing. The level up is indeed slow, even with all xp boosts, clan boosts etc still takes 1 month at minimum to reach the maximum level (34). The only way to level up in this game is by doing quests, and man, they are boring. BUT, if you can get past the first and second maps (around 30 hours if you know what you are doing) it starts to get fun. It's the kind of game that you need to watch some sorta of a guide till you know how to do the quests properly. Microtransations exist and they are very HEAVY later on (after lvl 20, where the monsters becomes way too strong and the game forces you to buy something). The toxicity is another negative point, as the game is divided by factions where every week players go to war with the oposite faction, the competition is fun but the toxicity of the players (even from your side) is too much to be worth it. Honestly, even if I had a lot of fun playing this game in the past, it takes a lot of days to get good and in my opinion it is just not worth it. Great video, I played some of the other games you named and you made some good analysis.
