Thank you Jay and Mark. I registered for IELTS Academic without having seen an IELTS prep materials before. I had just one week between registration and taking the tests. The only materials I prepared with were a couple of your videos. My results are out this morning and I scored a 7.5 overall: Listening 8.5; Reading 7.5; Writing 6.5; Speaking 8.0. Learnt a few new idiomatic expressions: 1) Cut straight to the chase (meaning to go to the main/relevant point of the subject). 2) Give it a crack (meaning to do or attempt something difficult).

@@simrat6707 yes sure. First of all go through the pattern and make sure you are well versed with the type of questions. Secondly, view tips and tricks videos of different sections then start solving some mock test paper. Analyze your performance and work on shortcomings where in which questions you are lacking.

Hi Jay Thanks for being such a nice professor on the trickiest exam of our life. I attempted the test on 17th April, when I was experiencing symptoms of Corona. Nevertheless I have scored CLB 8, band 7.5 wherein L 8.5 R 7.5 W 7.0 S 6.5 I expected speaking to procure 8.0 So it would have been CLB 9. My question is, shall I go ahead and invest in revaluation?

Hi Jay, I had a question to ask. 3 years ago I gave Academic Ielts following your tips where you said we should write our full answer in capital letters to avoid losing marks on capital letter in the beginning, now that was for paper based, I want to confirm if it is allowed for General Ielts specifically for computer based ? Best is if you are a registered user on E2, it knows what timezone you are in, and you will see the timetable on your dashboard in your timezone.
