Hello Chris, your videos are always useful and I really appreciate them. Overal, in this practice test, Rahul did a great job. His 2nd part is really good and I love his fluency, confidence and speed. However, I suppose Rahul needs to make more improvements in his pronunciation since sometimes I find it hard to listen and understand what he was talking without subtitles. His performance may be much better if he has clearer pronunciation. That would be perfect. Thanks for your reading.
@fcfanbayern2002 Жыл бұрын
This is because he is an Indian. That's the reason why it's challenging for him to improve his pronunciation. If you smell a rat, you'd do research on the Indian Accent English.

Hey Chris! I just wanted to thank you for all the resources you put out here for students such as myself. I had a very short prep window for my IELTS, and crammed as much info as I could from your videos. I've received an overall 8.5, with 9s in reading and listening, but lost my scores in Speaking and writing- which I think I could have avoided if not for the lack of prep time. Such is life though, and I thank you for all you do!

What is the maximum score I can get if I don't use any idioms? They are really difficult for me to remember.
@minhhongnguyen2350 Жыл бұрын
I think using idioms is not obligatory. You can still get a 9.0 as long as you show that you have a wide range of vocabulary amd meet all the other criterias (but using idioms is good indeed, just try to remember some that are common and useful. Don't make mistakes using idioms, it can lower your score a lot)

According to me Is natural one for indian students. I dont know where i get this. But i really use it... I think it maybe our maths bcz in indians math textbooks the statement is essential to get good score. If u need to write a statement for a right angle triangle its goes like...... According to Pythagoras...... Like that. 😂 So by studying that thing its a common tool that we make use for math.... Now on ielts

,@4:47 he says 'recently '...it means he refers to an action that he did just maybe a day ago...So to mention that we should use simple past...perfect past is used when it is done a long time ago... therefore we will use had+past participle(not past tense)..that's what the mistake 'had gone'....past participle of go is went...😇👌

i'm trying to improve my English by reading but the issue is that i can't find a book to read as an intermediate English learner. I've try some books but i always end up finding so many unknown words in each page. i'm currently reading '' Sapiens ''. what else is as good as ''Sapiens'' for me to read that doesn't have too many advanced vocabularies?

obviouly sapiens is rather tough to read at yr english level. I think u should read fiction and memoir and short stories such as: To all the boys I love before; the fault in our star;michelle obama; chicken soup for the soul...
